Pulpit is literally the only reason to go to Orangeville. Ever.
Trivial Pursuit money is no joke.
I will likely take Thursday / Monday off either side of this thing for extra curriculars. If anyone is travelling in and wants to hit literally any course between Detroit - Gravenhurst - Kingston, I’m down.
@duncmitchell - the million mile golfer
Playing in Windsor on Saturday… . I actually have to run down there anyway, so I’m truly squeezing this one in. But… yeah. Have #blades, will travel!
Y’all got room for another Chicago-gui ?
@TheAbeFroman could potentially be a roadtrip buddy your way…
There’s tons of good golf in Southern Ontario. Lots of nice parkland courses, but the links stuff is great, however it’s pretty spread out and most of the best layouts are private/expensive. The closer you get to Toronto, the more that is. We get a really varied climate here so things will bake out pretty good in July/August and be very fun to play.
Tarandowah is definitely the most “strapped” of these courses but might have the most links bonafides considering the land and the architect.
A good site for Ontario (and elsewhere) golf course smut
God, Coppinwood looks so good.
Well there goes my afternoon. Paintbrush looks like one giant playground. Might have to join the gta am tour for one day to play it next year.
Careful, it’s a FAZ
But yeah it’s pretty good
Yeah do it. That’s how I’ve been able to play it. @noslenod too I think.
There’s also Silver Lakes which billed itself as being a Carolinas golf experience in Ontario. Sounds hokey but actually sort of works.
Yup exactly. One of the best parts of that Tour is the access to private tracks.
I played like trash in the pouring rain and still had an amazing time at Devil’s, which is a testament to how special the place is.
Wait, this sounds like a fucking RAD idea. They even let hacks sign up and go out and shoot 100 in the events? I might be way in on this…
Yeah the other guys might have more info if they’ve done it, but it’s a “tour” but you can sign up for only 1 or 2 events and not really care about the competition aspect and just enjoy the walk.
I’ve been lucky enough to play Pulpit and Paintbrush a handful of times each over the years. So much fun.
Mark and the team there are top notch and do an amazing job running the tournaments with live scoring, spotters, rules officials for determining fire ants, casual water, or if the ball you can’t find in the rough is in fact a lost ball, etc.
They have different flights based on handicap and I believe there’s a recreational flight for pure fun.
Holy shit I’m in.
