#gamerecognizegame
im already terrified, and you go posting this
i’m gonna walk up to my caddie and tell him that you have a 14 handicappers life in your hand, do as you please
I got in with @Harambes1Iron, but if I see anyone else looking, I’ll send them your way!
I’ll get my setup posted when I get home. Color coordination is a vital component to on course success. Which explains why I’m dog shit.
I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or if 74 is really cold to someone from Florida.
Look, if I am not going to play well (and I am not) than I may as well look good.
When its been 90 with 100% humidity 74 feels like the inside of an igloo
This is coming from a guy originally from Northern Minnesota.
If anyone is still needing a roommate let me know. Thought I was up to get randomly paired but I wasn’t
WITB:
Upon an outcry of color coordination by @TheMassHacker, I’ve decided to make an effort.
Driver: Titleist TP2 10.5° – turned down to 9.5° with low draw bias
3 Wood: TaylorMade RBZ 15°
Hybrid: Titleist TP2 21° – turned down to 19.5° with low fade bias
Irons: Titleist 718 AP2, 4 - GW 50°
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM7, 56° & 60°
Putter: Stroke Lab 7 (Fang Style)
Balls: ProV1 - St. Rappeo cross by the number and slashes over the line, always in blue
Non-Golf Item: Carmex Lip-balm. Has to be Carmex, not any of these flashy, organic imposters. Give me the wax. These greens are going to have me doing a lot of lip licking in self-disgust–Stay Moist™ Refuge. Also, if I don’t have my nicoTAIN pouches on the course for when things go south, I’ll be in the weeds in a hurry. Tried to be a Vape Boi, but I just end up looking like white trash Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Shoutout Thailand and their Floridian Massage Parlors. RIP Kraft family. Camel Snus Frost large boiz-- they send me coupons.
Airport Snack: Always end up with Corn Nuts and rediscover every fucking time that I do not like Corn Nuts and they break my teeth. Gonna play it safe this year and go with the yogurt parfait, which will inevitably give me diarrhea until Easter 2021. Have a hysterical story to share regarding Airport fruit if anyone is interested at the cocktail hour.
Fun facts: I, too, have strange pocket management (carryover from years of semi-pro baseball) like @Hwhite, that has become a sick, religious obsession. 3 tees in my right pocket. Large and Small ball mark and divot tool in my left pocket. Glove goes in back right pocket with scorecard in the back left.
Don’t think I’ve seen a WITB from @skibum232
I think I accidently jumped the line a few days ago @ty1x but no picture and you have awesome taste in NLU towels.
Driver - Cobra F9 10* HZRDUS Smoke
Fairway - Ping K15 3 wood
Ping G5 5 wood
Irons - Titleist AP2 710 4-PW
Wedges - Vokey SM5 - 50* F54* 58* M
Putter - Cleveland Huntington Beach 11
Ball - ProV1x
Fun Fact: If I find a coin from my birth year it goes in the bag as a ball marker, I still have/love my Scotty Pivot tool that I bought with some of my first paycheck working at a golf store in high school.
I don’t think @Ty.Webb has checked in yet!
Love when I see someone else that has a few pairs of golf shoes in my same size.
Based on what I can see we have very similar taste, let me know if your looking to grow your stash.
Always looking at adding to the pile,
Every year I promise I’ll just add a pair and it turns into 3+
The last gift my late father-in-law/golf buddy gave me was a stack of brand new quarters with my birth year, 1985. I keep them in my bag and only use them for special tournaments.
There’s just so many options, it’s always hard to say no!
You might need to pick someone else. I don’t think Mr. Ty Webb is able to come this year.
Thank you,
@Wipey_Faded you are now on the clock.
This is dope. I don’t think I bought anything golf related, but my first pay check (from a golf course tho) I clearly remember spending on a shit ton of the nice chocolate milk and gas #speed
It’s funny the stuff that sticks out! Working a lot of high school then college jobs I couldn’t tell you much but can remember so much of what those Golfsmith paychecks went to: Pivot Tool, Callaway Tuttle Putter, club building components.
Ooh my first WITB… lets get right to it.
Callaway X2 Hot 10-5*
Titleist 917F2 16.5*
Nicklaus Airmax 18*
Titleist T100s 4-PW
Taylormade RAC 52*
Callaway PM grind 58*
Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5
Other must haves:
2+ caddy towels
Yellow ProV1s
Precision Pro Nx7
Im mobile only the next few days, trying to compare who has chimed in with who is going… not going well.
Lets GOOOO!!!
Anyone have anything good planned for any of the meals? I’ve only stayed at Pinehurst once, so the only place off property I know anything about is the Brewery. Any recommendations? Or places to avoid?
What about the dress code at the non-golf functions? Obviously will be a bit more than Sweetens, but wasn’t sure what everyone else had planned.
this is a good question, normally I have just walked around southern pines and picked a restaurant, does anyone know what the outdoor dining scene looks like in SP
I’d like to find a good BBQ spot if possible, as for the non golf functions I’ll be polo, jeans, jordans.
