As a local, RDU is one of the best airports pound for pound. Domestic direct options are good enough. I can park my car, get through precheck, and be at my gate in a total of 10 mins on a Monday morning (pre-covid). Plus terminal 2 is clean, open/high ceilings, two starbucks if lines are long. It’s really great.
