Looks like a fun event, Mr. Pump! Excited to get back out in the NE area for some Boston Tea Party photo shoots!
We’ll be happy to have you any time!
That last one is great!
Moved recently so my camera has been gathering dust as of late. Got down to the marina last weekend though and snapped a couple photos
The 1st, 7th & 8th are my faves.
I’m a sucker for shots where you use the foreground to frame something in the background. Great eye on the one of the statue!!
Roll #2 of 24 in 2024 : Kodak TriX 400 B&W film
Unfortunately the negatives were scratched ): not sure if they got scratched in my camera or during processing. Will have to check my camera for debris.
May try to edit the line out in post on some of the better shots.
This is a post that should probably be a DM to @TCRBrad, but whatever. I am at a professional crossroads and day-dreaming about applying for a photo editor/digital archivist job at the USGA. “What I bring” is supposed to be strong experience with PhotoMechanic. Does anyone have experience with it? How easy is it to learn?
All depends on how they want to sort metadata and archive photos…but it’s VERY doable to learn
I think experience with a certain photo archival system / editing app is immaterial. Would you be disqualified if you were more familiar with Capture1 or Luminar vs. Photoshop. You’re familiarity with systems and archiving and your capacity to quickly learn it is most important
Application submitted! Appreciate all the insight!
If you need references…we’ve got you covered
I am now sitting at my desk, more distracted than usual, as I wait to find out whether my application is good enough to warrant a response from the USGA.
I hit Mew Haven Cat Cafe in New Haven, CT today and brought my camera along for some Cat Portraits:
Bokeh is one hell of a drug…
Is it open yet? I thought it got got a couple years ago.
