When i used to work as a cameraman/assistant for IMAX documentaries, we used adapted Pentax glass for a lot of our IMAX cameras. Great glass.
Maybe if I keep hanging out under bridges I’ll turn into a street photographer.
It’s the “fuck cars” on the column in the right frame that really does it for me.
I have this one and it’s great, depending on what size kit you’re looking to lug around.
I arranged for a few of my photos from my Nepal trip to be printed by Whitewall. They came out better than I expected for the size of the sensor on a Fuji XT-3. Beautiful quality.
Thought this was pretty interesting.
That was awesome, thanks for sharing!
“The Big Moment” for the Illinois 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Championship football teams. Light ALWAYS gets interesting for those dusk and nighttime football games…
Shot this early morning at Vanderbilt CC in Naples with an iphone then edited the crap out of it to bring up the quality
This looks like a still from a GTA trailer
Is this worth the buy? I’m in the market but think my budget is under 500. I prefer point and shoot so can keep in my pocket. This isn’t but smaller than dslr.
Snagged this from my parents house. Felt like an easy $0 entry into learning how to work a camera and frame pictures. Stoked to dive into some YouTube videos and figure this out.
50mm 1.8 and a 28-210mm macro is a pretty sick place to start.
MPB has this and other models for better deals, if you don’t mind used.
I have no idea what any of that means, but I’ll take your word for it.
I have a used XT-30 body about to be on the market as soon as it gets back from KEH (they offered one thing online then lowballed me once they received it)
I don’t know much about the older Canon systems but I’m willing to bet you’re going to have some fun with that 50mm F/1.8 prime lens.
If you need to buy new, thats probably one of only a few point and shoots that are worth it that you can buy for that price. Definitely a serviceable camera that will take better photos than your phone.
There are definitely other point and shoot cameras for $500 that are better (panasonic lumix, sony cybershot) but nothing for $300 that is very cheap
I’ve just picked up a Pentax 67 with a bunch of lenses for a steal (not $0) so, like you, I’m looking forward to a bit of film photography. I’ve also bought a bunch of stuff so that I can develop my own film. Very excited.
Dope.
I’m planning on cannonballing into YouTube over the holidays, so feel free to pass along any applicable videos or info.
