They were all taken on a Canon Rebel T6 with the EF75-300mm kit lens. Currently exploring newer camera options!

Speaking of new cameras, anybody have any good recommendations? Somewhat budget friendly. Most of what I shoot is nature with the occasional portrait photos.

If thinking about Sony APS-C, this gui just put out a good video. Been following him since I bought my Sony A6000 and he covers a lot of good info to save you some $ but still get a decent setup.

Buy used gear. B&H and Adorama have LOADS of good options for top of the line gear.

For nature and portrait I’d lean mirrorless because of the silent shutter and small form factor (plus its the latest and greatest tech)
Canon glass is the best in the industry, so EOS R, RF, or RP are your best options

Taking my Sony A6400 to London/Edinburgh and debating lens to take. Not trying to travel with everything due to space. Typical everyday lens is an F4/18-105 for versatility. Any input from the experts on sticking with this, or looking at something else, such as prime or different zoom lengths?

Would you be willing to send me the file for the downtown San Diego picture?

Took me a minute to figure this out, but that is 11 and 12, nice work.

New drone took it’s first flight over the local muni…

This thing is going to be FUUUUUUUN to use

While far from an expert, I do have one suggestion:

I would bring the kit pancake lens with you as for when you are moving place to place and/or ready to be surprised by a photograph opportunity. I use the nikon z50 (which is a similar form factor to your a6400), and it’s a huge help to have a small, very compact lens on my camera that keeps it easy to carry around, but is easy to pull out for a quick photo. It also is fairly low-stakes should anything happen to the lens.

Lots of room for improvement, but glad I got this shot of hail from the storm yesterday

Took my first spin with a digital camera in probably 15 years yesterday and pretty pleased with the results. Definitely can tell that it’s an older body/lense due to the lack of clarity on some, but still pretty happy with the results! Open to any feedback as well!

That one or one of the ones of 10 were absolutely my favorites. I was so nervous that they weren’t gonna turn out well!

I had a number of requests for print-level versions of that, and gave it to everyone I knew who asked at the time.

Let me know if you’d like a copy and I can see about exporting another when I next fire up the old Mac Pro (which still runs Aperture).
