The Cornstalk 2025 @ Landmand GC (Homer, NE) - May 31-Jun 1, 2025

Haven’t approached them but we are talking over some of that stuff. More along the lines of “can we get a space for 100ish people to hang out Sunday night” but still

River Wilds in Blair, NE. Former 9-holer that hired Brian Schneider of Renaissance Golf/Tom Doak to create 9 new holes and ‘redesign’ the previous nine.

Didn’t have much to work with the old 9, a bit of down and back, I think he added a little contours to the fairways and pushed back the edges of the green pads to turtle back some, and punch bowl a few others.

The bulk of his 9 is fun and wild, giving the course an appropriate moniker.

And also, it’s like $22 to walk last time I played.

She’s a fun one. I play league there every Wednesday with my buddy (who happens to be accompanying me to this lovely event). Nothing super special routing wise, but some quirky holes in there (if you play from the one-ups 7 can play at like 85 yards with a two tiered green) and some small-er greens

So just an update here. I think I’ll end up booking Tanaka the more I think about it and seen the responses (also my fear of talking to people on the phone and the fact I can book 90 days out without a fee is awesome).

I booked the remaining 3 spots with @mharp for 8:30 and booked the 4 some at 8:40a. I know it’s early and a far drive - but I wanted to leave time to finish 9 at Old Dane on Saturday and leave time to play (with no rush), get food, drive back etc.

I added a few sheets for people to claim spots (not that I’ll hold you to them) and added sheets for Old Dane twilight Saturday round and early morning Tuesday for us sickos who think 54 (or more) isn’t enough. And I promise I’ll lay off this thread for a little bit. Sorry I’m a bit of a planner :expressionless:

Anyone want to tee off around noon (or later) on Saturday? I fly into Omaha at around midnight Friday night/Saturday morning and just staying the night there, so I think 8am at Tanaka is ambitious for me.

My brother and I are probably thinking the same. We fly in around 10am Saturday and would be up for a round either right off the plane in Omaha, or on the way to Sioux City.

Since this has already happened twice, if you don’t want anything, you don’t need to submit the form…

This could work for me as well. Earliest I can land is 12:30 Sat. If that’s too late, no worries.

Now I’m going to submit it even more!

With playing Erin the week before and then the WSGA Fourball, it was for my own best interest and health/life that I didn’t come, sadly.
