I94 W from MSP to basically Dickinson, ND is pretty ass too

Haven’t driven it in over 10 years, but I recall Kansas City to OKC on I35 being awful.

Yeah, but at least you get the world’s largest buffalo and world’s largest holstein right on the route. Can’t put a price on entertainment like that.

This man is coming for my most miles driven to refuge events spot! Love it.

Not as long or as travelled as many of the major routes listed, but for those of you who know the Seney stretch in the UP of Michigan may be the most mind numbingly dull section of road I’ve ever been on.

All of Illinois other than Chicago would also like a word.

Guys I80 between Omaha and Chicago is truly the worst. As someone who’s made most of the routes, truly awful. There’s like 1 hill and 1 turn total.

On another note completely related to this thread - I68/I70 through the cumberland gap in the fall is the most beautiful place in the world

As a lifelong Central Illinois native who has traveled up and down the state, I can confirm this to be true. There’s a few spots in Southern Illinois and NW IL that are decent but the rest is cornfields, bean fields and orange barrels.

We drove to Colorado on I-70 a few years ago and I didn’t mind parts of Kansas with the rolling hills. I only remember because I’d think to myself “that would be a good place for a golf course”

I just browsed google maps looking for the longest, most desolate, least scenic, truly bleak stretches of interstate I could find and this continuous stretch of I-40

as well as I80 from Reno to Omaha look like they easily take the cake

That 500 mile stretch of Wyoming looks bleak.

I drove this starting in San Fransisco/Oakland to Cheyenne (then south to Denver) after 9/11. Kept the car we had in the Bay Area and told them we’d drop it off in Boulder CO rather than deal with the chaos of the airlines so soon.

22 hours straight. Suuuucked.

Just signed up for my first ever NLU Event. Wanted to #GetInvolved last year but it wasn’t to be. Couldn’t be more excited for this.

No shit here.

I don’t think I’ve EVER driven between STL and Chicago and half the trip I-55 not been a construction zone.

Maybe I’m the psycho, but during the Covid years I drove PHX-STL and back several times and I enjoyed the hell out of that drive through AZ, NM and the TX panhandle.

I’ve got my club’s member/member on Friday & Saturday. It looks like I’ll be coming in hot. Arrive in Omaha at midnight and cruise up in the morning for my tee time.

Same here, wild part is I have to go halfway across the country for my first event!

buenas noches jefe, quick question, are carts required or can we walk? land looks expensive, prefer to always walk, but curious about green to the next tee.

As someone who lives in Des Moines I take offense to this.
