I booked at the Motel 6 Des Moines North for all 3 nights, but I could be talked out of that.
I have one night booked in Ames and 2 booked in Des Moines. Also could be convinced. Want me to look at air bnbs?

I’ve got 1 person coming with me. He ended up finding a 2 bedroom last night, so i think we’re good.

3 years ago wed have had an SGS advice “yall can stay at my place, I have a guest bed and 2 couches” situation.
No one wants to stay now with a 2yr old and newborn who are allergic to sleep

I just checked Vrbo and AirBnb and did not find much appealing.
@chefcycle did sleep in my driveway last year. (In a purpose built subi with a bed)
Where were you searching? Just DSM or suburbs as well?

I just searched Des Moines without any other geographic qualifiers. Only appeared to be handful of units available within a 25 mile radius that were good for two or more people, but up to 60 for solo traveler options.
After the AirBnb experience at the Ope, I want to make sure it’s the right situation overall, price is only somewhat relevant.

Any one of those three things at that Motel 6, unfortunately.
