The Butter Cow - Aug 9-10, 2024 - GPGC Major/NIT Q

I can’t think of reason not to do this so bring the lumber I’m in. What are the stakes for such a prestigious match? Having never hit a hickory I am scared of catching one fat and breaking a club while also knowing hickory’s are all about a smooth tempo.

How many sets ya got? I was already planning to play persimmon, and I’ve also never swung a hickory

I think i can fanagle having two extra sets there.

Color me intrigued. If the other two are already spoken for I’ll be fine sitting out.

I’ll hear none of that. The 2nd set was procured for you my friend.

Don’t have anything in mind for stakes but I’m sure we’ll think of something. You’ll figure the swing out easier than you think. And with hickories - it’s never a question of IF you’ll break a club, but WHEN. The guy I’ll be borrowing those sets from knows that all too well, so don’t be afraid to swing 'em.

Ive played them on some trips 5 times now and its been surprisingly hard to break with smooth tempo. Ive really dug in a few irons on firm turf and they were fine.

Toughest thing us to figure out ball flight. I always end up with lazer cuts.

So, my normal ball flight :+1:

We got ourselves a Mexican standoff or to stay on theme should it be called a “Milking Stool”

Definitely Milking Stool.

I’m just hoping we both bring our Swope games and not our Hillcrest games.

No hickories here but maybe we’ll break out the new old blades I got

The wood churning tool is called dasher. Sounds like the new term for a well struck hickory shot.

Goddammit @bignanski!

We rocked Swope. I blame the weird course vibes for the hillcrest collapse and not our shakey play.

We’re gonna need to start keeping a Butter Cow glossary soon. I wonder if this is how it all started before Moses came down and ruined everyone’s perfectly normal cow worshipping party.

So apparently bison used to graze on Waveland before it was a course. Glad we can keep our ancestors spirits alive.

It is a really great logo. Although I have tough questions about the spacing on the stripes
