I’m planning to go out that evening and can DD a few as well
Dammit guys. Work is undefeated. I now have to watch a utility outage Saturday. Hate hate hate that I have to drop out. Sorry for the late out, I’m still in for the donation and will match @Smidler’s $5/$10 net birdie eagle to the cause.
Hey, if we put our heads together we can probably get you fired by Friday. Solid plan, right?
I am leaving Richmond by 730Am Friday, and would love to squeeze in 36 if possible. I missed the boat on replying earlier.
I’m thinking like an 11:00ish round at ap, and then head to Roanoke country club (15 mins away and I’m the heart of Roanoke) for the pm round if that works for you guise?
Slow day today in the office should get some work done here for us.
We will likely have uneven #s repped on the VA and NC sides, so we’ll use the best whatever # of scores are equal for that points wise.
Have an 11:00 Tee time at AP for 4 at as of now
@SammyShaf
@Wholefoods
Should have the afternoon tee times here later on at some point, likely with 8 spots there
If yall have not listened to this month’s nest pod…we officiall have a new nick name for the event.
we are the 3 bed room
(I will be printing these for the carts too, but lmk what I am missing here)

Ashley Plantation Local Rules
Out of Bounds – for pace of play purposes today, the local rule for OB is in effect.
Players must find where their ball went out of bounds and create an imaginary perpendicular to the fairway, no closer to the hole. From there, you can now drop anywhere within two club-lengths behind the line. The next shot will be your fourth .
Specific Holes to be aware of –
1 – Right is OB – the waste area to the left of the tee is red stakes hazard.
3 – OB right, left, and long here just FYI
4 – Hill to the left is OB, stakes are just to the left of the cart path.
6 – the dry pond area is red staked. Bunker just beyond the pond is Ground under Repair and you can take a drop.
10 – if we play the par 4 – RANGE IS OB AND STAKED
11 – BLIND TEEE SHOT. PLEASE LEAVE A CART AT THE TOP OF THE FAIRWAY FOR THE GROUP BEHIND
13-15 The waste area with tall grass is a red staked hazard. Stakes are not always easy to find but this massive waste area is in the middle of the 3 holes.
Stableford Scoring System we are using is as follows – Quota based on your course HC
1 point Bogey, 2 par, 4 birdie, 8 eagle.
Unfortunately I won’t know until friday what the officially CR will be as it maybe a par 72 or 73 depending on set up, should be 72.
Warning that GRINT or other online type stuff may not work as well as the USGA and those apps are much slower to update the new hole an such.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make the event this weekend. I have unexpected family matter that I have to attend too. Sorry for the short notice and have a great time.
waiting for @Fore20 to post his scripting for this one
such a shame to see all these folks dropping
I’ll be there for sure
I’ll hit the road at 7 here. That should give me enough time to make AP round at 11ish.
perhaps thats got something to do with all the folks dropping?
Probably the case.
I would say “sick burn” but his name is fore20 so I expect him to stay burning
Hi all, first off I wanted to say a huge thanks to Andrew/country35 for the work on this event along with the others that have helped put it together. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and playing Saturday at AP in the event. I would agree that it is a shame to see so many folks dropping out last minute. I have been working with Andrew on the afternoon round on Friday. I have set up tee times for those that can make it starting at 3:30PM at Roanoke Country Club. RCC is an old school Tillinghast design that was most recently updated by Lester George (Kinloch and Ballyhack). RCC is in fantastic condition and the small bent greens are running pure. The course is a tight older growth tree lined course with rough that can suck. There are 27 holes (3 different 9s), so depending how folks are feeling we will have plenty of time to push to the third 9 if we start around 3:30PM or 4PM. It is a private club, so no cash as far as I am aware. That said, I am going to see if I can get the course to stick a case of beer and seltzer in the snack bar for us. Again, looking forward to it and I will see everyone this weekend.

I snapped this one monday out there
I am in for both the morning and the afternoon on Friday. I can leave Richmond as early as needed.
