Strapped: Spring Training! (Arizona) - Touching Fingies and Budget Analysis

Yeah in my research I’ve seen that the large majority of course scorecards don’t match what is on GHIN, not sure what the logistics of that is

I think @djpie is trying to throw us off the scent, but we will not be deterred! D.J. Piehowski on Instagram: "TrapDraw field trip to LA to record our fourth annual Oscars pod with @timothycsimons, which is now available and is, predictably, 4 hours long. Also pictured: Randy taking a pic of the Hollywood sign, the wall from that Elliott Smith record and Tim/Poosh mid-defeat."

Yeah that trip was quite a while ago. We’re fiiiiiiine.

tipping out Wigwam gold in peak season would the be MEGA AtomBomb Bonus.

I just listened to Soly on The Back of the Range podcast (pre Gasparilla) talk about how he views Strapped as their non-monetized art project. Hearing him say how proud he is of it although he admitted to have little to do with was very encouraging! He definitely didn’t speak if it in past tense which is good👍🏼

Ending strapped would be the golf equivalent of getting cute with a simple chip and dumping it into a green side bunker…

This looks like a new photo of possible spring training baseball in Arizona…

Big Randal looks like he’s ready to come in relief in the top of the 7th with that ‘stache

Was just going to come here and post that, did some digging and I think based on the seats and foliage they were at Camelback Ranch in Glendale. DJ’s boys from the southside play there for the spring.

Also, it is down the road from Wigwam if that turns out to be one of the courses. This concludes today’s reporting.

EDIT: The fella in the back has a brewers shirt on which lines up date wise with this game

If it’s truly a $500 strapped series during Spring Training, probably a higher likelihood they played a free round at the abandoned Villa De Paz Golf Course which closed in 2018.

Would be funny to see Neil trying to convince Big to hop a fence to play a closed course

But if the dates are correct from our previous reporting, I think they got some weekday afternoon times so that could’ve made it affordable ($50-80/pp). Also, given the ending of last season could we see some sanctions or changes to the format?

If spring training tickets were also included, there’s got to be a change to the format haha.

Or, they hit the mega bonus. Or they won some good money in the money round.

Also, Spring Training tickets aren’t that expensive right?

Heavily depends on the team/day/time. Giants ST tickets have always been very expensive.

Yeah, Giants, Dodgers, and Cubs tickets are pretty ridiculous for exhibition games. Maybe it’s because I’m a cheap ass, but not sure why people don’t go to the free practices at the complexes. Watch some bullpens and see some live BP, vs pitcher #73 facing batter #92 in the 4th inning haha.

Giants games at Scottsdale Stadium are pricier, feels like a good excuse for people working to take clients etc. It is a micro version of the WM where people are just there to drink in the good weather
