Strapped: Spring Training! (Arizona) - Touching Fingies and Budget Analysis

Well I’m fucking JACKED!

Been rewatching Peoria and Tallahassee today, and started New Mexico again.

Hope this is 45 mins of pure good-ness

Looks like my new challenge is watching the first 10 seasons before next week

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Strapped more then they go and use a Silver Jews song

I wish I could nebulize my brain Men in Black style to forget the 10 seasons I’ve watched just so I could experience those emotions for the first time again.

Quite literally doing this right now. On Part 3 of Northeast.

If anyone knows of an easy way to convert this to an Apple Music playlist, I’ll supply them with a steady stream of likes (the true currency of the Refuge) for as long as I remember to do so.

This seems quite incomplete, not including Lawyers, Guns and Money was an obvious gap. Also remember some John Prine from Southern California, Drew Holcomb, etc. Not sure wo owns this but it’s not a playlist others can add to, otherwise I’d do so instead of just whining about it.

(Whoops, I see the John Prine in there.)

Obviously going to rewatch all seasons before premiere, but can somebody remind me what episode No Air by Jordin Sparks is on? Didn’t expect that one on the playlist

Yeah, I don’t think it’s been touched for a while.

There are a few NLU playlists on Spotify though!

This one has a few more songs Spotify

A couple of my favs from Peoria episodes for the playlist:

Peace & Positivity - Scat Grub Band
Goodbye, John - Joe Stamm Band

Not sure if @djpie meant for it to be, but Goodbye, John is like a pandemic time capsule in song form. Really reminds me of the uniqueness that the Peoria season had due to how life was in 2020.

I really hope they resist the urge to mess with the rules. They’re so beautifully simple and provide such a great structure to the series. I’d begrudgingly go along with a budget increase, but I don’t think it’s needed. I think they could scrap the money ball too.

Strapped is a winning formula. It’s simplicity sets the perfect base for the three of them to just cook.

That said, having to make the C Suite whole for blowing out the SC budget will be must-see TV.

I’m so jealous you’re able to watch these for the first time. I’d do just about anything to feel that rush again!

Realizing now that I need to issue a mea culpa. Have watched every season once just going through for my second time. Been awhile though so I forgot a lot of the smaller things from the first watch through, such as Neil ripping his pants while making chicken noises in season 2

Will there be sanctions after what happened in Myrtle?

  • Yes

If you voted yes, what kind of sanctions do you think will be in place?

I am thinking a reduction of clubs could be in effect.

Another note, curious how the switch to only using Titleist balls could effect the ball count rule. Playing cheaper munis, I’d expect there to be much less Titleist balls on the course compared to the amount of Supersofts and Yellow TruVis we saw in previous seasons.

Voted yes, but I have no ideas on sanctions…there has to be something though.

I go the opposite way with finding Titleist balls…I gotta think they’ll find a huge amount.

Also, can they use ‘Acushnet’ as being the holding group and so Pinnacle balls are allowed. They must be dotted everywhere!

Agreed with this. They just may be Professional 90s and NXTs.
