Strapped: South Carolina - Long Live the Kid and NCIS

Anyone know which Ben Rector song DJ mentions in his tweet. Don’t know much of his stuff and doen’t recall one of his songs popping off the charts while watching. TYIA.

Who chooses the locations for each season of Strapped? C-Suite? DJ? Randy and Neil? This will determine the sanctions and severity in my opinion. Of course I am assuming this was not the series finale. If the C-Suite sent them to a location that $500 doesn’t cover basics + golf than blame lies at @Tron and @Soly 's feet. DJ, same thing. Now if @Randy and @MerchCzar choose the location than their mistake and sanctions could be quite punitive.

7 dollars for a toothbrush seems pricey while still in the budget

The more I sat at work today (I love what I do) the more I became jealous thinking about how the NLU guys get to work with their friends which I am sure can be difficult at times but oh so fun…This episode has to be the peak of what it means to love what you do, and who you do it with. In many years the guys will be able to look back upon these videos with a great fondness and memories that will last a life time.

Spent the last 20 minutes reading through everyone’s reactions with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face.

Can’t add anything that already hasn’t been said…but want to show my appreciation for this little slice of the Golf world.

Hey @djpie @Randy and @MerchCzar …well done, gents.

I’m of the opinion that sanctions should come up to a match play situation; C-Suite vs. Diner Boys. 18 on a private and 18 on a muni. C-Suite wins they sanction the boy’s, they lose… it’s Nixon sending guns and money to Iran and somebody is going to need a lawyer.

I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed harder at an NLU video than the “$1185… Just burning edges man.”

Was finally able to watch it and man that was easily the greatest video in Strapped and maybe NLU history for me honestly.

Just the whole vibe throughout this episode is what I love about golf and friendship so much. In a slightly different way it reminds me so much of the multi-night tournament trips in college and the friendships I created with each and every single one of my former teammates. We weren’t the best team but man we always had a great time and it’s the small stuff that I loved and dearly miss; from the hole in the wall restaurants to the late nights watching March madness in the hotel rooms and even massively going over whatever budget we were on.
I have lifelong friendships with those guys and the memories and stories I have from those years are ones to last a lifetime even after I turn old and grey. There isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t look back fondly on it.

I know they have been tagged a million times in this thread but massive thanks to @djpie @MerchCzar and @Randy for everything they do to create this series season after season. The vibe, the friendships created and the places visited make each and every episode and season so great.

Obviously everything has been said regarding this episode that needs to be said, but I had a death in the family yesterday so the day was a bit rough. Last night’s episode gave me 30 minutes of joy with a smile on my face the entire time. I’ll likely re-watch tonight before I get on a plane tomorrow morning to go to a funeral. Thanks DJ, Neil, and Randy for the perfect episode at the perfect time.

@Randy with the classic dad fit and 5 o’clock news stance. This iteration of the big guy has had me rolling since last night. He’s a mega vibe.

What courses would you suggest? Also from the MKE area but can’t really think of which county munis I would suggest. I could see @MerchCzar enjoying Missing Links up in Mequon.

In Waffle House when Neil gets up to go to the bathroom, Randy looks straight into DJs eyes and says something along the lines of “I know that you’re filming me, but I just have to say that I feel awful for Neil”…

This pure vulnerability and honestly is exactly why I can feel so connected to a group of golfers that I’ve never met. Such an authentic moment from the big guy that very clearly had an impact on so many of us.

Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.

I’d say Madison would be a better destination than MKE but either is good.

Funny, I just walked in the door from missing links. I think it’s Brown Deer day 1. Money round at Washington County. End at University Ridge in Madison and cold beers on the terrace. Brown Deer is my home course so I’m super bias but I love that course and think it holds its own. Plus you have all the content surrounding that’s where Tiger went pro.

Good call. Never played University Ridge.

It’s not 18 holes but this is where we pound the table for Eagle Springs and all it offers

One of my favorite hidden gems of this episode was, what appears to be, a shark tooth necklace.

A staple in MB. Well done @MerchCzar
