Looks like the boys went to Charleston on the budget

Dining in Charleston is fantastic, but not a Strapped budget. Waiting to see how that possibly shook out.

Yea. We went last may and stayed in folly beach. Spent way more than we planned on during the stay between food, carriage rides, groceries

Golf wise- thinking. Muni, stono ferry or edisto island, patriots point

Possibly get those all pretty cheap.

I hope a visit to Lewis BBQ and some ice cold beers gets them way over budget.

The big guy traveling west to east was probably a tough scene for his sleep schedule.

Is Charlston national that expensive? I played that and Patriot Point when I was down there about 7 years ago and can’t recall if it was too bad of a cost. Will love to see the island green footage if they play Patriot.

Interesting place for a strapped. from my experience on recent visits it is everything BUT strapped. maybe i’m doing it wrong.

Charleston has everything. If you stay downtown, very expensive but there are lots of less expensive options and in February it’s not high season at all for tourism.

Hopefully this highlights those parts of CHS then. Looking forward to it.

I doubt it’s exclusively Charleston too. One day there, one day in Aikin and maybe a course in Columbia?

I really like that Tourist Sauce and Strapped are now overlapping. The fact that the crew can show how to go the Carolinas and ball out or just go for a quick qeekend without breaking the bank is a nice dueling perspectives on the same location in my opinion.

How can you tell this is Charleston?

I’m on the other side of the spectrum on this. The stated ethos of Strapped is to show golf in places where people would respond “really?” if you told them where you were going for a golf trip. Charleston is close to that border, because although it’s not the golf destination that Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach are, it’s not too far out of the realm of possibility.

All that said, Charleston Muni is a perfect Strapped course to show Golden Age-style architecture on a budget, and a town with a ton to do (although might be tough on the budget).

I’m very excited for this. I have family in Charleston and love the area. Just never thought of it as a Strapped destination without connections to get food/lodging cheap.

Played the muni last may. And also the picture of the small flags.
