Strapped: South Carolina - Long Live the Kid and NCIS

Glenway golf park in Madison (once it opens in July…fingers crossed) would be right in the strapped strike zone too. Cross the street to village bar for a a cheeseburger and coooooold beers

Doing a rewatch. This has to be my favorite @Randy reaction.

“How much?”
“$75”
“…we’ll account for that.”

I did not hear the shark tooth necklase accounted for in the final budget tally @Randy, hopefully the C-suite will let it slide

While i love Strapped and would be sad to see it end, i can’t help but agree with a multitude of Nesters on here saying it should end like this. From @merchczar missing his plane and @Randy having to walk the Waveland green “alone” to start it all, this seems like a perfect way to close it out. OR - add some new stipulations to the next Strapped, like @merchczar has to finish and be off the course in a certain time because he has a honey-do list waiting at home.

Either way, what a journey. And HUGE props to @djpie and anyone who assisted in editing that whole season. INCREDIBLY well done.

I just watched it again because it was so good. One of the sneaky funny parts is when @MerchCzar said he woke up feeling like he was going to hit the mega bonus.

If he would have hit the mega bonus, they still would have come in over budget.

Yeah just re-watched as well, the smash cut from Waffle House to the Zevon montage

It was technically toothbrush, chapstick, and a Clif bar before round at The MUNI in part 2. For real though, toothbrushes are way too expensive, and they always try to get you to buy a 2 or 3 pack.

I will say a toothbrush was an essential purchase though. I can’t think straight until I brush my teeth in the morning. TUFF thing to leave behind on a trip like this.

The Zevon drop was Paul Thomas Anderson movie-esque in its relevance/significance. Just pure perfection.

Everyone needs a friend like Big Randy. “Lawyers, Gun and Money” was also an awesome choice.

Hands down the best NLU content ever produced. Additionally, this is my personal favorite moment from this episode. It felt like I was there, and felt so real. Just simply fantasic @djpie @Randy @MerchCzar

My favorite episode of all time. Incredibly well done. The vibe, the camaraderie, the Zevon song, all just pure perfection. Excellent work @djpie

Even better is the fact that this Zevon song is on the “Excitable Boy” record. Great stuff

Award worthy work to everyone involved, big stupid smile on my face the whole episode. Music was obviously a standout, shootout to the instrumental portion of Low by Victoria Bigelow it’s so good.

Money comes and money goes
the friends we make along the way
are the real mega bonus

Randy asking Neil, “Do you wanna make this suicide pact with me?” had the same feeling as Tom asking Greg in the last episode of Succession, “Do you want a deal with the devil?”

Souls are boring.

Village Bar is the greatest bar on earth and I won’t be swayed otherwise…have considered making the 4 hour drive from MSP multiple times just to have a brick burger.

As someone from Boston I am thouroughly confident that Sluggers in Wrigleyville is the best bar in the world. Where else can you have cold cold beers, hit some balls blackout drunk in a batting cage, and then tip the dueling piano folk to play Mean by Taylor Swift so you and all your buds can belt it out at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon?

There are at least 5 of the greatest bars on earth located in Madison (village, ideal, crystal corner, le tigre, and gennas)

Real “Jimmy thinking about wacking everyone and taking the money” vibes from Randy
