Spokane county courses are $48 (MeadowWood Liberty Lake, Latah Creek). Spokane city courses are $52 (Indian Canyon, Qualchan). Guarantee it would be the best golf with a budget that Strapped can find as a series. Add in the weekend with @djpie, @Randy, and @MerchCzar playing in the largest outdoor 3-on-3 street basketball tournament in the world?
I’m not “upset” about any of it. I still enjoyed watching it. I think there are plenty of golf courses in that price range out there that are interesting, especially on a weekday rate. I played Twin Warriors in ABQ for like $20, fantastic value. But again, I think you can expand the budget for golf substantially without getting into Tourist Sauce territory.
This is where I think Spokane & Hoopfest make perfect sense. They could play basketball on the weekend, and then play golf during the week.
Why do I think basketball would be entertaining? There’s lot of teams that don’t take it serious, so seeing Randy, Neil, and DJ try to compete in a recreational basketball bracket would be captivating, I think. Similar to this season with the football talk, it would just be X’s and O’s of hoops (and complaining about their stomachs hurting from the beers they had after their first game).
Wouldn’t mind a Strapped: Canada or a Strapped: Mexico. Pretty sure Strapped: Mexico would rival the combined runtime of all three LOTR extended editions just in Neil sound bites alone.
The BIGGEST of big right misses was not on the course or where they played. It was doing the guns up in front of the Ludvig’s parking lot poster the wrong way…
