Soooo good.
Already jacked for the money round.
This is the kind of content I’ve been dying to see from the golf media. I get so annoyed at the big golf outlets doing top 100 rankings and it’s always Cypress, Augusta, Pine Valley in some order, as if the only way to take a fun golf trip is to go to a course that cost $500 a round. Show me the hidden gems, the cheap but well-maintained munis. Really excited for this series.
As a native Iowan and having played Waveland several times, it brought a tiny tear to the eye.
Fucking. Hilarious.
This series is going to be amazing. Highly recommend the first episode!
Sign me up for all 50 states. Make it happen.
Was in Des Moines and playing Waveland the week after, so disappointed we just missed the boys. Hopefully they come up for the 5th major one year.
“Overgrown and claustrophobic” is perfect description for Waveland. Trees, everywhere.
Loved the first episode
I thought Big Randy’s performance stood out as really solid. Neil’s line about the broken gumby (or stretch armstrong) was brilliant. I’m convinced that Gumby maybe Randy’s spirit animal.
I wouldn’t have minded a little more on-course action and description of the layout and the good holes etc. I gotta say I really like the concept. It is so very true that most of us only get a handful of “bucket list” courses in a lifetime so arguing about Pine Valley versus Pebble is not really that relevant. I suspect most of us plan long weekend trips with buddies and budget is always an issue. It is hard enough to get away for a three or four day and even harder if it is going to cost big dollars. Damn I loved C-suite Soly and Tron - that was so funny.
want more of this. the entire dynamic between the c-suite and the “grunts” is gold.
Anyone else find it jarring to see @Soly in a suit jacket? C-suite indeed!
Another great video.
Shoutout to the Air bnb lady scaring Neil.
He was a little too comfortable and convincing…he was having flashbacks to his days in the “Big Four” -
No…she scared DJ. Did you not notice the camera shake like it was the Bay in '89?
I am just going to say it…Randy and Neil are my favorites and they have been for several weeks. I love all of the NLU personalities and what they bring but, for me, here are my rankings:
And, these rankings are like trying to grade which Top 5 golf course you think is the best. All of them are very good.
@MerchCzar Dude throw up a flare to the Refugee’s if your stuck in MSP for an entire day! Sure someone here would have gotten you Des Moines or at least entertained you for a while. Though it sounds like they kept pushing the delays out just long enough to keep you around…and hopeful.
Can’t wait for the next episode.
Also, the 3-ball allowance should come with a trigger warning. I’m pretty sure I’d have a full on panic attack on the first tee with only three rounds of ammo at my disposal.
Sorry I was on conference call…guess I wasn’t watching or doing my job very well at that moment
Come on, man. You have to stop all work when on the Refuge…it’s important!
This is kind of weird…haha.
Part of what I like about NLU is that it doesn’t feel like anyone is a “personality”. Just themselves.
