either way, watching @phegs32 and @kevjones play well was much more entertaining than having some random 15 out there
there is a reason we never got to see much of @Double_Bogey_Dave swing in the TS Carolina episode he was a part of…dude is a hack and nobody is trying to see that shit

I don’t know if there’s any photo evidence to support this, but I played a match against @phegs32 in a local amateur event a couple weeks after the filming of Strapped and he showed up wearing a camo du-rag.
The guy is a true chameleon.

I gotta say, this is one of the few things about the Refuge that bums me out. There is a disproportionate amount of VERY good golfers or better. A 15 HCP is actually better than the “average” golfer out there, but there’s no acknowledgement that they exist either in NLU videos or here on the Refuge aside from a few specific posts. Strapped to me feels like the MOST on-brand place for that, even while part of it is the bit about Neil trying to break par, it would be very awesome to see how these courses play for the average (actually, slightly better than average, since the average golfer doesn’t break 100) golfer. Because Strapped courses are even more important for those of us who don’t have these amazing golf games.
Folks here talk about their shitty rounds where they couldn’t break 80 and there’s a LOT of us who read that and absolutely feel like outsiders. I get that this is just part of the deal.
I fully believe in the power of @djpie to highlight golfers like this and not make it horrendous. Even those 15 HCP of us have several, if not many, good to very good shots every round.
