Strapped Baltimore (Season 5) - @KVV rants about different shows

3a Tin Men

Crystal Falls seems like the proper indoctrination to Hill Country rocks, though it’s not as cheap (or as infuriating) as it used to be 30 years ago.

@KVV how often do those crab and beer back porch throw downs occur?

If a regular part of life and summer in Bmore, hell yea.

Or is a romanticized thing that happens a few times a year, at most? In Maine, for example, most people don’t eat lobster three times a week.

Ideal Austin strapped would include Lions, some combination of Hancock/Pitch and putt, Riverside, and maybe a trip to the o.g. hill country budget gem Delaware Springs

played ColoVista a month ago…

major strapped material.

Definitely not a three times a week thing, but any time people from out of town pop in, it’s a natural, casual thing to throw together because it’s both true to Maryland and a very social thing. You get to teach people how to do it and you’re all laughing and having fun. Eating steamed crabs really almost isn’t worth the effort considering how much meat you get. But it’s really fun to do in the summer; most people do it at the beach and most Marylanders take at least one summer trip to the beach.

I think we did steamed crabs four times this summer, including this one, so maybe once a month. To stay under budget, we got medium-sized crabs, but you can blow it out and get jumbo males that have more meat to them if you don’t have a spending limit. (If we’d hit the mega bonus, damn straight we’d have gotten jumbo, and also put the Strapped Boys up in a boat in the harbor for the night.)

exactly…its a good way to spend the afternoon/evening and is more a social event than anything

never knew I needed this until this moment, Strapped needs to only go to coastal/lake-adjacent towns from now on

On one hand, sleeping on a boat is awesome.

On the other hand, it seems unfair to put Big Randy in a bunk on a boat and call it a reward.

Rocky Point really is what a muni should be. Playable and well conditioned. Great vibe. A bit disappointed that the Strapped boys seemed to be unaware of Natty Boh - but glad they caught on quickly to the pleasure of a cold Natty on a warm Summer day. Solid day-drinking option for the non C-Suite crowd.

As we’ve had at least three people shoot at or close to their best round ever in Strapped rounds (Ben, Merchie, and @KVV) is @Randy or @djpie the ultimate playing partner? Would it be possible to determine a SG:Partner to determine whether DJ’s or Randy’s encouragement makes their playing partners comfortable enough to go low (but not quite low enough)?

Just rewatched. Still great.

Just watched episode 2. Good to see the boys enjoying some steamed crabs, which is my favorite thing about now living in Maryland. My wife and I try to do crabs at least once per month (sometimes more during the fall when local crabs are at their best), and Conrad’s Crabs is currently our go-to place for crabs. Now I’m hungry for steamed crabs.

@KVV let’s try to tee it up in 2020. I promise not to talk too much about Baltimore stealing my Cleveland Browns. We can discuss our mutual respect for The Great Man, Gary Player!

I’ve heard something similar before…

His explanation is still, to this day, lamer than his actual music.

@djpie On that fateful day WHEN @MerchCzar or @Randy do secure megabonus funding (s/o Elon Musk), this track has to be the backing right? Obligatory “If not, what are we even doing here?”

Season 2 tie in, banger, etc.

Played Pinehurst with @djpie in September. I don’t think it’s him according to my scorecard

@Randy played with @anon26814599 in Cincy, and, well…it’s definitely not @Randy.

That means the only possible answer is that as the wings are stripped from the back of Icarito himself, they latch on to the nearest playing partner and lift them higher and higher instead. Beautiful sight to see.
