How did we get almost 90 minutes of Stanford golf without any mention of the giant trees in the middle of 12 fairway on the Stanford golf course? Randy has to be incredibly pissed. Otherwise that was fantastic and even though I’ll be exhausted after caddying 18 holes tomorrow, this video makes me want to play 9 or hit some balls afterwards.
Stating the bleeding obvious, fantastic stuff! Your work deserves more kudos, it really is the best stuff out there. Don’t want to fluff you lads more than I already do amongst my friends but this leads to more people having a ‘connection’ or interest in people rising in the sport. Rachel Heck might have greater commercial potential than dare I say, Rickie.
Look forward to the pod and hearing about how this project came to be.
I’m pretty sure at this point the guys could shoot a round of BINGO at the local nursing home and I’d start tearing up with the videography and song choices.
Man I can’t say how much I enjoyed this. Great job guys, hope this series continues. Both the one with Madeline and this one are absolutely top notch. Not sure if this kind of video is even profitable for you, but I have no problem saying I’d pay more on a membership to this place if it meant we could get more of these types of videos. Thanks for the hard work.
Came here to say the same thing. Also - those divot lines @djpie could have done b-roll on just the divot lines across that range and I’d have been completely satisfied.
Such a great production job! Don’t know if it’s because I’m currently recovering from Covid, but man, did I keep tearing up constantly watching those women play. Mostly though, listening to their coach, what an inspiration!
I have so many takeaways, but the biggest one for me is Rachel Heck makes me feel unbelievably inadequate in all phases of my life. She’s either the first or second best collegiate golfer, the top ROTC cadet, an A+ student, and seemingly a grounded, genuinely lovely person and teammate.
My wife and I were discussing afterwards that if our daughter grows up to be half as accomplished and well-adjusted as Rachel, we will have done a remarkable job parenting her. Talk about a role model.
There is no way that other golf teams with 2/3 legit LPGA prospects have as good of chemistry as Stanford. They legit want to play together and like each other. It was very refreshing to watch, and I think Rachel Heck has a “Heck” of a lot to do with that.
Loved it. Watched it with my daughter, who fell asleep. It’s worth noting that she is six weeks old. If she turns out half as talented and driven as the young ladies featured in this episode, I will have done a hell of a job.
Fantastic work from the big guy and Mr. Nonrepeating.
Gonna need to see some more respect for the production value out of her. At 6 weeks old Rachel Heck was probably reading the dictionary with one hand and building model helicopters with the other.
Edit: Meanwhile, my 1 year old is currently eating crayons. That’s my girl.
Nearly 24 hours after the premiere and I’m still giggling at Randy’s line about “they played 18 and went right back out, didn’t get a break…we still took a break though.” so on brand.
Was bummed after Rose made the albatross and said “I was surprised because my dad clapped and he never claps for my good shots” Damn. If she was my daughter I’d be straight cheerleading out there!
