October could be a solid month to get this in.
Maybe we could swing a group trip to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando we could get the boys to come out for some quality content.

Halloween themed refuge event? My attention is re-piqued.
Dates pending, but I am interested regardless of what is at stake.
Awesome! Wedding hangover lasted into Monday, but I’ll def get cracking on this today.
Love the train golf idea too much. Watching this one for sure. This itinerary sounds awesome.
I looked into Amtrak from Raleigh, and it’s over $500 roundtrip for a roomliner (it’s an overnight trip), but Southwest gets me in and out of Orlando for less than $200. Really want the train experience but it makes no sense.
Based on Palatka’s availability, I’m going to propose the below dates. My personal vote is for October 2nd through 4th. I recognize everyone might not be able to do the train the whole way. If you still want to join we’d love to have you for a segment of the trip with the intent being we get as many people in Palatka on Saturday and that becomes the potential NIT Qualifier round. If enough are in for all three days we could get much more creative on a 4-round cumulative point system.

Really quickly, I would probably opt out of the train, hotel in Palatka, and lodging in Jax. Opting instead to operate out of my home base in Jax. The logistics of leaving my car in Orlando at a train station and finishing 10 minutes from my house doesn’t make sense.
In other words, I would drive to Winter Park 9, drive back to Jax and stay in my house, drive to Palatka, drive back to jax and stay in my house, play Jax Beach.
Also, it depends on the weekends in July and August due to weddings and other obligations.
Yeah there’s just so much availability in June/July/August I didn’t want to bog down the poll. Trying to see if we can zero in on a date in the milder months and if not we can dig into the summer months.
Another option for you would be to train down Friday AM then follow along with us on the way back up.
Also if this doesn’t get NIT qualifying status, Oct 2-4 may overlap with the Ohio qualifier, which I was eyeing.
I’ll be there! September would be cool, got a baby due in May so I’m out on any May or June dates probably.
Aren’t most of us Floridians already? We’re already used to the heat. I’d prefer to avoid Football season.
Understood. I’m a UF grad so I booted the following weekend from the calendar (LSU). Fires me up to hear the willingness to bear the heat.
Although chilling on the train would be a blast, Im thinking the same. I’m the opposite scenario, where I live 15 mins from WP9 but would then be finishing in Jax and have to get back to Orlando.
Yeah this will be a trick for the locals. Thinking the out-of-towners could go into MCO/SFB and out of JAX. Trying to work on some solutions to get locals from/back to their point of origin.
I’m happy to drive a few guys if needed and/or ride the train. As I said earlier, I’m 100% in for most of the dates starting in July.
I’m an out of towner so I don’t want to drive the discussion, this should be for FL peeps… Howeva! I do like the train aspect of this and am all for it. Wish I could make that trip from and back to NC on the train as well, it just makes no fiscal sense.
Edit: if this thing becomes a qualifier (didn’t realize that was a goal) and fills up, I’ll gladly aquiesce my spot to a local as I’m not a) local or b) going to be remotely competitive in that sort of thing.
Voted!
Side note, if any of you guys are down around Vero, hit me up to play sometime
