@pushdraw coming at you from the very early stages of a potential 7+ hour drive to the Phoenix area (I am not driving, yet, thanks to @matthew823).
Today was a GREAT day. From waking up expecting the worst in terms of wind, to warming up in to a 20mph fan (complete guess btw, but very stiff), it rounded in to a lovely day conditions-wise.
First group (a 5-ball no less, played in exactly 4 hours). From there, pace of play was a major concern, but that’s neither here nor there.
Today, we played a quota game. 36 minus course handicap = quota.
As scores began trickling in, right around quota was looking very very solid (said first group had @Lazstradamus at -1 and myself at -2) , and then we had a pair of +3s get posted. One of those +3s turned in to a +5 with a marking error on the 2nd hole.
Final qualifiers, and apologies for having very little recollection of names / handles (will update as I learn more)

Chip-off qualifiers for 1st alternate status

*The chip off was a less than stellar showing, but it was tough coming off the patio after 2.5 hours to a 90 (playing 105) yard shot. I snuck in.

We played a quota game (akin to Strapped rounds)
36 minus your course handicap = your quota
So really about making bogey or better, and birdies were very important.
