First Refuge post, so sorry in advance.
I’m moving to Savannah, GA in January. Would love to join a Roost. Seeing Peachtree Collective in and around ATL, and Palmetto Cannon Club in SC. Is there anything more local to Savannah or Hilton Head that I’m missing? Jax could be an options as well?
Looking forward to playing some low country tracks!

Welcome aboard! The Peachtree Collective covers the entire state of GA and has a good number of folks in the Savannah area. If you prefer to head south to Jacksonville you could play with Spash of OJ or north to SC with the Cannons.
Roosts cover a good bit of ground, while larger numbers are in the larger metro areas they do cover most if not all parts of a given state.

While it pains me to say this as a Savannah native, @LukeBoatright definitely has more coverage event wise in the low country than we do. Would love to have you join regardless, but both of our big events would be roughly 4.5 hour drives for you…that being said, I am back in the area all the time, so hit met up to play when ya move and feel free to reach out with any Savannah questions.

Been reading a lot of these posts, I am in majestic Rockford Illinois so super close to the Wisconsin border. I’m looking into the whole roost thing, looking for some input I know second city has their thing going in Chicago area. just wondering if Wisconsin does stuff and what not? a lot of times it easier to head north than into Chicago just curious? Thanks!

There is not a Wisconsin Roost (at least not yet), so @EConroy419 and the Second City GC is probably your best bet for 2023

Every time I hear this it shocks me. How does a golf rich state not have enough people for a roost? Do better Wisconsin?

@jtshelley42 actually is a Palmetto Cannon (in addition to being a good guy) and lives in Bluffton. I’ll be honest, I tried to avoid going onto the island as much as possible so I’m not super familiar with the golf out there.

Welcome! In terms of the public courses, I am a fan of Dolphin Head, Golden Bear, Old South, and Hilton Head National. Most also offer local discounts.
You really can’t go wrong with any of the privates (too many to name).
