It’s 11 at Mammoth Dunes for me. Reachable par 5, but only if you take an aggressive line that requires you to deal with a bunker right where you want to land it.
Almost made it in that bunker last month, would have been a tough scene.
Glad to see you taking the exciting route around a golf course
I hate that hole. Probably a me problem, not a them problem, but as you said, that bunker is right where you want to land it. Can I carry the bunker or no? If I do carry it does it go right into the other shit on the right? Should I bail right? This is the entire progression my mind goes through between the top and impact and let me tell you… the results have not been good!
Well well well…
I’m going to leave the poll for #10 up for another day, and whenever I happen to notice the tie being broken I’ll close it. (If I’m going to be the proletariat I might as well also make this a dictatorship.)
While that chaos is going on, let’s pick a #11.
- Lawsonia Links
- Whistling Straits - Irish
- Mammoth Dunes
- Wild Ridge
And, since we’re feeling productive today… let’s get nominations for #12 too.
Spring Valley #12
Great use of mounding on this hole, great visuals for every shot out there.
Mounding in red, original green size in blue.
Plus, there’s a periscope on the tee box.
12 at Riverside with this damn tree.
I despise that damned tree.
12 at Straits deserves a nomination, a par 3 that can be pushed way up or way back, or slid front to back with a long, winding green and a tee box that stretched over 175 yards. Also this ridiculous hole location:
I second 12 Straits, speaks for itself
Amazed no one has said 12 at Lido, the insane Punchbowl!
Lido is going to struggle against some others just based on who has played them.
Played LL this summer on a golf trip, hit the box car green all 3 rounds. Watched some guys have to chip from the bottom right, there were no good results…
I remember every shot of everyone from my group on that hole. We just recently were talking about it and they were all shocked/disgusted/not impressed with my memory. Coming around the corner and seeing the fortress like green complex is something I won’t soon forget.
I’ve been putting it off, but this probably pushed me over the edge to watch the vid of the Foreplay guys playing the Lido. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
I played my second shot from soooo far right, essentially the boundary fence. Just as the architect intended.
Imagine if the Lido had carts, might move up to #1 in the world rankings
You’ve been DolePilled…that explains your recent heel-turn
I was in top portion of the sand on the far left and laid up. My buddy hit a 7w from basically the same spot onto the green and made birdie.
