Roll Call: Wisconsin - Madison vs Milwaukee

Obviously we’re going to defer to that sweet prince Burban on 14.

Ok folks… going to attempt to answer my own question and also allow our Bag Tag Barrys a chance to gloat. Pulled the Top 20 from Golf Mag… not here to debate the list, just needed a source and they captured almost all the courses that have come up for discussion. Check off the courses you have played and we’ll see which of the state’s finest get the most play from Refuge nation.

Good call setting this up, fascinated to see the results

But great minds think alike…

I agree with this take entirely. I’m sick of telling 15 handicappers why their bump and run from off the green didn’t run because of the new bent. That’s why I’m really intrigued to how hard are we gonna try to get it for the Women’s Open in 2025.

Interesting results so far…

Lac la Belle higher than I would have expected, but everything else feels about right.

I thought Washington County and the Bull would be higher. LLB is another surprise

Wash Co. is kind of in the middle of nowhere and lacks the marketing and pop of nearby Erin Hills and LLB.

This is my naïve brain as well as I’m a local to the Sheboygan / Kohler area, but if you are a fan of golf around here you know someone who has gotten you out to or helped you with playing those courses for the most part. Hopefully we can change this or take steps in the right direction going forward and get more people out there. I also feel incredibly spoiled / guilty now given how often I have played them.

Thank goodness you didn’t turn on letting people see who voted for what. Now nobody can shame me for not having played Lawsonia yet.

Lawsonia #11, one of the great reachable par 5s in the state. Everywhere to hit it off the tee, and a really cool green where you can run it up if you want or use that slope to sort of hit the brakes on a long second shot to avoid going long.
