I really don’t mind the walk. I’m hoping they bring back the all day rate so I can play 36+. Ends up being a much better deal.
Lawsonia is conspicuously absent from this list. Play Lawsonia. Twice.
It’s apart of this
Was planning to play it as well as potentially SentryWorld depending on if I can play The Lido or not. (Not expecting to)
I think pre US Open they had an all day play rate. It may have only been for certain times of year but it was glorious.
That US Open was nothing but trouble for us locals I tell ya.
A fun piece of trivia is that both EH and Wild Rock were designed by Hurdzan and Fry.
Same disclaimer goes for Wild Rock: play the appropriate set of tees. There are a few forced carries to be mindful of. It’s a lot of fun and definitely not a prototypical resort course.
I did it in 20 or 21. The reservationist was a little puzzled when I wanted a tee time in advance for the third round.
Starting on a 5 before that dumb fucking second also makes me hate that place while also liking it at the same time.
I noticed that too + Hurdzan and Fry were involved at Troy Burne as well. Seeing as I’ve only played 2 Hurdzan courses & enjoyed them both it seems like a great chance to see more of what they’re about.
That is news to me! I love Troy Burne.
Confirming that Eagle Park is still wonderful, my lovely wife agrees. We will have to meet here some time before or after hitting up Moorland golf center as a larger group or just to bring the southern and northern folks together.
Firm and frozen with maybe 50 yards of rollout?
How’d you hit them?
What course…Brown Deer?
Meekwon. All things considered pretty well actually. Except I just got fitted for and purchased a new driver. My old driver is currently riding TSR, so I used the driver in my guest bag, an old Cobra FlyZ and was absolutely hammering it straight, which is a huge mindfuck.
Also, there was a group of 8 on the front that looked to be having an awesome time.
Swap LLB for Lawsonia IMO.
@FamousFoot Definitely playing Lawsonia & not planning to hit LLB thanks to all the kind people in this thread haha.
Appreciate it!
Sentryworld
The Senior Open wraps up on 7/2 so it should be open for play for you by the time you come through. That said, it is basically the equivalent of spending $20M on a golf course that was previously a parking lot. Absolutely immaculate conditions but almost no land movement, several holes blend together, and oh yeah it’s $250 public. Their new shtick is that it is all you can eat and drink while on the course and they have a few food stations on the course for that purpose but personally I’m good with never playing there again and playing SV or Lawsonia instead.
