They did a great job considering the restrictions in place. Greens were real quick, everyone saying they felt more comfortable with 20 footers over 4 footers!

Never played there sadly but always heard good things. Another one gone.

Got to play the East Course yesterday. Posted some photos in the phot thread (linked below). What an amazing golf course. The depth of the bunkers is intense. Every hole is unique and interesting. If you aren’t on with your approach shots (which was me yesterday) it will be a loonnggg day.

Long shot here. I work for a company based in Western NY and I’m looking for a solid reference for a employment law attorney. Can any of you guis point me in the right direction?

I am a Workers’ Comp attorney, and I represent employers and carriers in that arena. But I don’t practice employment law per se. I believe that the guys at Gross Shuman may have some employment law expertise. I would be happy to help if I can, but I would recommend contacting Gross Shuman

Hey thanks for reaching out! Would you be open for a quick call?

Welcome! I myself have been on a bit here and there but starting to up my reps. Always open for a game. I’m in Williamsville but will travel.

I have two tee times on Friday at Harvest Hill and 4-5 openings if anyone wants to meet up. Times are 10 and 10:10.

What is everyone’s plans for the winter now that the season is winding down?

Hi all, just moved back to Buffalo a couple months ago and excited to be a part of this thread and join the community here in the area.

@steve51523 Just signed up for a 6-mo coaching package at Woods to Wedges. great amount of Trackman practice along with bi-weekly lessons. Enjoying it so far.

Was born in Rochester and lived there until I was 7 then we moved to Florida. I now live in Indiana but have gotten back that way for family reunions and vacations a few times in the last 5-6 years or so

Nice. Be sure to check out Buffalo Golf and Social. I think Jesse is the best teacher I have found in the area and uses trackman too. Awesome place too

" Listen, I know this might be a little specific to Buffalo and other Western New York Refuge members. Sitting here in downstate NY doing my remote UBuffalo college work dying to get back to Buffalo, anyone have course recommendations for when I get back hopefully this coming spring? I have played Grover Cleveland since I was living next to it last semester, Glen Oak, and a couple of the munis surrounding UB campus. Let me know because I am still unfamiliar with the golf scene especially outside of the immediate Buffalo/Amherst area. Also, color me unopposed if any Buffalo CC or Park CC members want to link up…"

@pkyle2trey Let’s connect when you get back up here.

My personal BFLO/WNY top 10, not counting Southern Ontario or any of the private courses.

  1. Hickory Stick
  2. Holiday Valley
  3. Byrncliff
  4. Terry Hills
  5. Arrowhead
  6. Tri-County CC
  7. Glen Oak
  8. Diamond Hawk
  9. Ivy Ridge
  10. Grover/Elma Meadows - love both the Erie County courses.

What @flipjohnson said haha. Also like to add in Harvest Hill, my personal favorite living in Williamsville.

Agree wholeheartedly. But I would add Buffalo Tournament Club and I also heard that Fox Valley is now semi-Public. Can anyone confirm?

On their website there’s a ā€œpublic tee sheetā€ option, but have not played there yet.

Fox is in fact now semi private. Brierwood likely going that way as well.

Seneca Hickory, Ivy Ridge, Holiday Valley my personal clubhouse leaders from those mentioned. Also a shoutout to one I haven’t seen mentioned, Elkdale, also semi private near Ellicottville.

fox is public but conditions were not great this year.

I think Harvest, Ivy and Diamond are the clear cut top 3 in the buffalo area. Always fun to make a trip to play Hickory and Holiday Valley as well.
