On my list of courses to see for 2020 has been a hard one for me to get on the last few years.
Played Brighton on Sunday. No pins obviously bc it’s closed but pretty good condition overall
Anyone else out there? Might try to loop a few holes on lunch at Sheridan on Monday.
I’m off work on Monday so I’d be down. What time were you thinking?
Not happening anymore now that NY has shut down the courses.
Damn just saw. Not sure if that means they are going to be more shut down than they already are…
Crossing fingers for a 5/1 reopen of courses? Trying to be hopefully optimistic, although the dusting of snow yesterday is also dashing those dreams
My guess is probably closer to end of May.
Would gladly take that as well all things considering
From NYC but went to school in Buffalo and our close friends/golf travel partner lives in Penfield. Up there every summer to play the member-guest at Penfield CC. Have also played Greystone, Eagle Vale, Midvale, Bristol Harbor (Canandaigua). Also played a couple of the local course on Cayuga Lake during our stays there
And now it’s snowing…
And accumulating.
Drove by Eagle Vale in Rochester today and it looked pretty crowded already. Two foursomes of walkers on the 1st hold at 9ish AM. Looks to be the only day this week to get over 50 degrees.
Hoping for some wind this week to dry out the courses, next saturday looks decent
Thinking of going to play brighton at like 1pm tomorrow if anyone is up for some slightly illegal golf
Diamond Hawk was open for walkers yesterday. Muddy but playable.
Local muni in Syracuse was absolutely mobbed today. Noticed no raised cups too. Although I doubt the transmission rate is super high from plucking your ball out of the cup, kinda would like a bit more caution applied for now.
Played Greystone Saturday - walking only and it was pretty wet in some spots. Holes 1-12 had been aerated, but it was still a great day and the course was very busy, 4somes every 10 min.
They had pool noodles in the cups for Covid measures and had a ranger driving around monitoring groups.
