Roll Call: WA (PNW Crew)

The vibe for all meetups seems to be more Strapped ethos than C-suite. I kindof like the idea of having a big group show up at a course that doesn’t otherwise get many visitors.

big agree. I mean, I frequent the Seattle muni’s if that’s what y’all are looking for haha but home course might also fit this vibe. It’s well regarded in western Washington but not a destination course by any means - especially being a bit away from the main population centers.

What’s the name of the course?

Could see how that is confusing :joy: it’s actually named The Home Course,

That’s already fitting the ethos!

Yes. ethos is the whole point!

I love Home Course (I’m also part of the Men’s Club there). It’s probably our best bet for what could be soggy conditions in March.

White Horse would also be a good candidate since it drains well.

Was really thinking White Horse as well, I love the course tee to green. But man I cannot read those greens :joy: so I selfishly left it off my list. Good option though!

White Horse is almost an hour further north, which I like. But would be interested in either. Might be worth considering if there’s Airbnbs, hang out places etc around either.

I don’t trust the weather until the 5th of July up here, but I can hit a playable half-bladed fade in my rain gear lol

If we can get that homie hookup, then Chambers could be solid. Otherwise, I agree with Home Course and White Horse being solid options.

I’ve never played white horse but I’m all for it. I know there is a stay and play thing that the home course is a part of so I’m not sure if that would be easier and there is also more lodging in the area of the home course.

I would do any of these. I think this is probably a good opportunity to use the poll feature on the message board for date and course.

  • The Home Course
  • Gold Mountain Golf Course
  • White Horse Golf Course
  • Oakbrook Golf Course

I’d be interested in this but probably couldn’t make the business case work until April. These courses would all work for me as I’d be taking the Coho ferry to Port Angeles but the schedule in March means that I would likely have a travel day each way (and an extra hotel night). Keeping tabs though.

I voted the latest day only because I figure the weather will be best

Spring Break for local schools and universities is mid to late-March, so it is more likely to be less busy the 7th or the 14th.

Going off of Sarah’s “I voted the latest day only because I figure the weather will be best,” I voted for the 14th. However, it is Players week that weekend. So, I wouldn’t be against March 7th one bit.

Also, if we want to get more eyes on the event, when more details are finalized, I have a thread name idea

If no one starts an actual duel and we just want it to be a meetup, we could call it the “Duel Against the Evergrey.”

Yeah I voted for the 7th, but can make any Saturday work.
