For sure. I mean we can also talk about the 22nd or even first week of March if that is better for folks. Just throwing something out there to hopefully plant the seed
I have some interest⦠but canāt 100% commit⦠I Like the later in Feb or early March
Iām waiting for some new sticks to come in, so Iāll be in for some rounds probably mid-March!
So letās start planning a late March meet up? Does that work for everyone?
March works for me. Would give us some time to promote a bit and get a good game going
Agreed. Maybe we can get a big group of people from all around make it a local event for the NLU series.
I like March
Edit: do we feel confident about weather though?
We just need to pick a place and figure out if we wanna do 36 or just a good course for 18.
Crazier things have happened. Off the top marketing angle -
āRACDG Presents: A Very NW Weekendā
The game will be a mix of stableford scoring and drinking at a nearby brewery.
If we do have the possibility of renting a course (have no idea about logistics on thatā¦) could be a lot of fun. Might be able to bring an out-of-towner or two in too.
I know most the guys in the local Tacoma/Seattle area and so I can easily set something up to at least block it off for us but if we wanted the course for the day Iād just need to make sure we were gonna have good attendance.
Totally - Iām getting way over my skis already!
Yeah if we get to ~24 I feel like we could just block tee times, and that seems like quite a bit based on meet ups last year
Iām in for March, though Iām out of town the last week.
Sometimes you gotta run before you can walk!
Alright so letās say March 21st. Thatās the weekend before the last week of the month. Hows that sound?
Looks good for me.
Course ideas:
- Golf Mountain
- Home Course
- Gamble Sands
- (open to courses towards portland or eastern WA as well, just donāt know them that well)
I donāt think gamble will be in good enough condition to go there. The winter is harsh there right? Iām unsure. But what about the idea of Chambers? I know all the guys who work there and I know most the caddies too. I might be able to swing it on the price list and make something happen. Otherwise I think Home Course is going to set up for all kinds of players and would be the easiest. Gold Mountain gets pretty harsh and plays long in the wet season.
Great points, tbh I havenāt played GS yet and have just been trying to get it on the list. I would love chambers as well, especially with possible connects, but agree the price point may be an issue. Maybe wait for others to chime in but home course might be the best option at the moment
Sounds good. We can wait and see what everyone thinks and how it all works out.
