Used to love visiting with the folks on their patios on the left side of 2 and sometimes a squirrelly tee shot on 10 would get me close to some sliding doors.

Perfect. I will let you know in the next few days. I was able to get a time at Westfields, so that is my only for sure at this point.

Anyone a member at a club in Richmond? I’m about a mile from Lakeside Park so have considered joining there. With Belmont reopening soon I may check out their memberships once they make them available but it’d be nice to have a club with family amenities (pool, etc) as I have a 1 year old and another on the way.

Welcome to your first post. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I’m a member at Lakeside. If you haven’t checked it out, you should. The pandemic has made the club reconsider some long-standing ideas, which has been mostly good from my vantage point. Happy to connect with you anytime.

my parents live on #6 like 230 or so yards up the right side of the fairway…they are basically right where the fairway starts and that first FW bunker on the right is

they get a lot of balls in their yard and pops has found probably thousands along that stretch since theyve lived there

sure it’s 6? 6 is a par 3.

Unless they swapped the 9’s and it’s the old 15.

according to the hole by hole on their website, #6 is a par 5

they havent flipped their 9’s…#4 and #7 are both par 3’s on the front

unless you werent talking about stonewall haha

Wrong course - Was thinking about Reston

But I’m tracking the 6th at Stonewall now. Yea. That would be a ball paradise for left to right hitters.

that makes more sense then!

Ask him if he found a #4 yellow and green Callaway Truvis recently!!

Of course, I’m asking for a friend.

I’m a member at the Federal Club out in Hanover. Not super convenient if you live in Lakeside, but a great course. I know there are some Hermitage and CCV members on here as well, but I don’t want to air anybody out.

Not that many will care… westlake* at SML sold again to a former pro and a few other investors, being renamed Copper Cove I believe. Great course imo, I’ve only gotten to see the course tho.

It was actually The Westlake that was sold to Billy McBride rather than Water’s Edge. I like the new name and branding of Copper Cove. Playing off of Franklin County’s history of being the moonshine capital of the world. Wonder if they can get the Bondurant brothers from “Lawless” to come out some time?

Billy McBride’s dad was one of the former owners of Hanging Rock by the way.

I am happy to announce I’ll be back to being a corporate member there and RCC again now. Golf world is almost 100% back to normal for me.

I really like Westlake and Billy McBride III. I never knew his dad but I did meet him a couple of times when I played Hanging Rock. Westlake was one of my regular trips when I lived in Roanoke. I’ve probably played it a hundred times.
