Yessir I think I’ll be around on the 6th and the 8th and maybe even through the 9th. The only day that would be tough to play for me would be Sun the 7th. Glad the temps look decent and hopefully the forecast has it drying out a bit before then. Would you be able to play that Monday or would it have to be Sat the 6th for your schedule?
I doubt I can swing a monday, esp if its an hour plus from the house. Sat the 6th would be smooth sailing either way.

Hopefully all of this rain (or ice & snow for a lot of you) will come to an end soon. I was just happy to finally get a round in this weekend.
I need to shake a lot of rust off before playing in a VSGA one-day event this spring.

yeah i got a weekend in nc coming up and gonna get skull drug at this rate. Gonna try to slip for 9 tomorrow or thursday but still damn, its been an abnormally tough weather year thus far

I just signed up for a four ball event at the Marsh Hawk course at Ford’s Colony in June. I haven’t heard or read much about the course, but I’m curious to hear anyone’s opinions/reviews of it.
This will be my first VSGA event I’ve played in as well. I’m considering myself as the C-player on our two man team, but hopefully I can get my game in a better place by then.

I have played it in a few scrabbles it hosts a lot of charity events, so I know it best from those. FC does have a digital yardage book if that helps.

How much play does Poplar Grove get - are we gonna have to lock a time in 7 days in advance if we wanted to play it that Sat the 6th? How far are you wanting to venture if the weather is less dicey closer to the greater Charlottesville area?

poplar has never been busy when I’ve been there, like eerily empty with a tiny parking lot.
Should be able to get a good tee time easily I’d think. Poplar is like 90 mins from the house. Just depends on the track and the weather I guess but for someplace I’ve never been and a decent day Im open to just about anything.
I’ve been out to poplar on the weekend and never seen anyone else on the course.

Had a good meeting with the pro yest, he is getting me a big list of dates very soon and pricing. think he now understands what we are all about and how this is not some rag tag hackers fundraiser deal ha.
This was the par 3 7th yest. 210 in your heart, but with wind and slope played to 160.

Its like 280 to closest house, but with yesterdays wind not too hard. It was a nice relief after the par 6 played straight into the 20 mph wind.
