Roll Call: The Duck Club | Canadians, Beer and Cow Pastures

I sure wish canadian tire would bring their 83% off sale strategy to ping drivers…

Locally, our Sportchek still has an okay amount of golf stuff but like many have mentioned, the pricing is all out of whack.

I usually only stop in there to buy balls if I’m really desperate, but I will give our location a bunch of credit for having really competent tech shop guys.

Typically I’ll do my own grips, but our tech shop has done a ton of excellent work on my clubs.

I am going to be up in the cobble beach golf links area next weekend. That where you are talking about? Looks really nice but seen some say legacy ridge is just as good and cheaper. By the map, cobble has 3or 4 holes right along the bay. Legacy is across the street. What do you think?

Legacy is a fine course. I like it a lot.

But by no means is it remotely close to being as good as Cobble.

The Canada Life Series event at Heathlands started today. We had the pleasure on Sunday of playing in near tournament conditions and providing tons of assistance to an aspiring amateur in the field. Looks like he is +2 after day one with a nasty double bogey on #7.

Here’s the link to his card, I followed a bit today. https://www.pgatour.com/canada/en_us/players/player.59407.bavake-sihota.html/scorecards/c057/2020

U from the area? Or just go up for holiday?

Sick, I completely forgot all this was going on, my buddy was even today apparently, and finished t13 at bear mountain.

I actually know a handful of names of kids who used to whip me in junior golf.

The guy we played with, Austin, appears to be -1 and T21 right now through 9 holes. Nice pull!

Lived there for 5 years. Had memberships at Stone Tree, Legacy, and Saugeen. No membership at Cobble, but through work connections and my practice facility membership I had playing privileges there too.

Running, Shooting, Golfing… the guy does everything! Smart to make the name change though.

Seems reasonable for an 18 handicap.

Throwing this here instead of silk road because I don’t have much interest in shipping.

I have a Stroke Lab One I’m interested in parting with. Excellent condition, no real signs of wear, only thing that’s slightly dirty is the headcover. If anyone in the GTA is interested, I’m happy to send pics/discuss via PM.

One last call out to the fine members of The Duck Club.

Have one spot available at 12:30pm at Tarandowah this Saturday with myself, @bordercity, and @duncmitchell.

Totally understand that it’s a long weekend, but if anyone thinks they’re available, they’re more than welcome to join!

In the area still? Thinking I will be able to play this Sunday or monday.

Hey, just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to join some of you at TPC Toronto Heathlands last Sunday

Unfortunately, no. We moved away a couple of years ago now. I wish I was still closer, cause I’d love to join you! Hope you enjoy it though.

I was running NCAA track when Pistorious was really generating (positive) media coverage.

It was also around that time that Katt Williams came out with Poor Little Tink Tink and holy shit I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at a stand up bit more than that. Many a Sunday morning long run where that was quoted more than it should have been.

Whereabouts will you be for the weekend? I might throw something together on Sunday…

I will be up around saugeen shores, port Elgin is where I’ll be staying.

Any plans to play Saugeen? Some of the holes are pretty boring, but others are absolutely outstanding. Great greens too.
