I’d love to know the history behind a private golf course with 12 holes, not open to the public, with irrigation, clubhouse etc designed by the owner…this is a pretty efficient way to burn money. Should have started an airline!
Riley Johns works out of Canmore, was featured in a TGJ article by Mr. @djpie, and works with Keith Rhebb a lot (check out the projects he’s worked on his website). They recently built a par 3 course at Forest Dunes that I think would be Duck Club approved. http://www.rhebbgolfdesign.com/forest-dunes-par-three-course
Lots of nice white pines. Lots of ugly blue spruce. Gravel pit across the road doesn’t bode well for finding sandy soil. Interesting place regardless, would be cool to be able to take a walk around.
NO DOGS uh oh deal breaker
No dogs (while a tough look) aligns with the “duck” club.
I’m just curious about this Golf & Xmas Tree Hotline
Yeah I mean but we’re obviously going to have some serious water fowl control at TDC. Can’t have bird shit everywhere.
Anyone know a ornithological geneticist working on advancements in GMO fowl sans shit?
I’ll buy a few extra TDC imperials to help fund.
Should we just buy and rename Club Link? And expand it to other areas?

Nah, not a club link fan. Their golf courses are often meh and/or a real estate play
Well we only need one course per region. We can offload the dead weight and start buying across the country
I like Heron Point. Don’t love many outside of that though.
Wyndance is good. National Pines is very good. Haven’t been to HP in years, don’t remember much.
Les redid redstone in Rossland as well and I’ll be playing there this weekend. I’m not really a Les fan though.
I agree with @T3J Riley Johns would be great, his twitter and instagram is great to.
Each course can be a different species.

We don’t need this happening:
Decoy Dunes
Unreal!
Banff Springs is just one of my favourite places anywhere. Not just the golf, but the hotel too. My (then) fiancée and I spent a couple days hanging out relaxing there before our wedding - it’s dog friendly (shoutout Fairmont!), and we laid in bed one morning with the dogs and a bottle of Champagne and wrote our vows. Then rolled down the street to the Magpie & Stump for tacos and tequila…
The golf course doesn’t suck, either
