I think Alpine was the same as Moose Lager, but in a brown rather than green bottle.
That is a new one for me
Where do I find those?
I’ve had me a 'Pine or two when there’s been nothing else to drink around.
Is this a safe space?
My go-to for far too long was JR 5.5
That looks like it’s trying to pass itself off as Budweiser and is failing absolutely miserably.
Moosehead bought Sam Adams?
Oh no. Its good stuff. Mostly a Minnesota thing.
Nah, they own the distribution rights in Canada.
I see some smaller stores in AB carry it as well. I’ll have to go looking.
Definitely not - Boston Beer Company is still self-owned. Maybe they’re distributing Boston Lager in Canada?
Anyway - I’m asked constantly if I have a Canadian accent, which despite not being Canadian, I attribute to watching so much hockey my whole life that I have subconsciously mimicked the pronunciation. Every time someone asks, I take it as a compliment.
I’d be honored to be allowed into the Duck Club with my fellow neighbors to the north.
You’re in!
Moosehead as well. Independent since Confederation
I’m a big Creemore guy, even though they are technically Molson or something now. Think it was the first brewery I toured. It’s refreshing in the summer and full flavour for the winter. Some say it’s the perfect beer
Speaking of which, this is crazy: https://www.cbc.ca/tv/features/the-oland-murder
That’s amazing
I ask my students this question all the time
My Dad used to do a lot of work in Canada with AT&T. There was a period of time when he always had a case of Labatt Blue in the garage. I would usually go home on Sunday in college for dinner and to do laundry and before I was 21 I would always mix like 2 into my bag with some soda and seltzer water to take back.
