Roll Call: The Duck Club | Canadians, Beer and Cow Pastures

Muskoka Bay is nice but for my money Rocky Crest would be my top recommendation for the area. Can’t go wrong with either.

Taboo used to be really nice and maybe it is again but 3-4 years ago when I last played the conditions were super poor. Was sad to see such a good layout go to waste a bit. That could be dated intel though.

Welcome! That’s my neck of the woods. There’s a few of us. Best place to chat/meet people is our WhatsApp.

What’s your favourite track around Durham?

@BigtimePolecat could you share the WhatsApp link? I’m trying to find it or find a way to share it but can’t figure it out.

Thanks! - the Whatsapp link would be very much appreciated!

I know it’s not Durham, but my favourite course in the general vicinity is Ballantrae. I feel like I need to play more of the Durham courses like Royal Ashburn, Cherry Downs, Deer Creek etc… to have a educated opinion.

WhatsApp Group Invite try this one.

Payment in full is required to secure your spot in the field.

It’s not a Canadian summer if you don’t spend some quality time on a Carrick design

Hey TDC,

Checking in from PEI. I just moved back to the island and want to get connected with locals. If you’re from PEI or know anyone here, reach out! Also, I’m happy to share PEI trip advice!

Not sure we have any PEIers here. We visited the island for the first time last year and loved it. Whats your top 5 ranking of courses on the island?

Glad you enjoyed your visit!

It’s tough to rank all of our great courses, but here’s my take:

  1. Green Gables
  2. Brudenell
  3. Dundrave
  4. Crowbush
  5. Mill River

Green Gables, a Stanley Thompson design, is special and never gets old. The original routing through dunes to the ocean would’ve been incredible. Dundrave could compete for #1 if it were walkable.

Eagles Glenn, Andersons Creek, Fox Meadow, and Glasgow Hills are also strong contenders for a top five spot.

Love that. We played Green Gables, Brudenell and Crowbush, and I’d put them in the same order as you.

Interesting. Normally I see the Crowbush - Dundarave - Brudenell trio in that order. Ill be playing them Aug 1-3. First time on the island!

If anyone has food/activity reccos, I’m all ears!

…now I just need to follow in Neil’s footsteps and prep.
As R Kelly told us years ago “my mind is telling me yes but my body is telling me no”…or was it the opposite? Damm it. Here we go!
