I should have said some small routing changes… The member I played with explain that the 4th hole was rerouted. The old green was up and to the left. That was removed and now it sits more or less straight on from the tee.
There were some additional fairway changes at 2 apparently.
I have some pictures, going to be writing something about the East course for Beyond the Contour in a few months if there is interest to share it here.

Ah, gotcha. When I hear “routing changes” I think 4 is now 6, 5 is now 4, etc. Yeah number 4 looks completely different, that whole corner of the property is unrecognisable.
I would definitely be intersted in that article if you decide to share it on here.

Hey all,
I’m back to the refuge after a pretty long layoff from visiting and posting and I figured it was time to get involved, again.
Interested in The Roost, but can someone TLDR it for me? Who should I contact? Do I just fill out the google form? I think my last visited post was like #1300 so I figured I’ve missed a bunch haha.

I wanted to share this article with you all. Elk Island Golf Course may be no more. It seems that the course quietly closed in 2021/2022 and the third party operator has ceased operations. The course may be repurposed if the Park deems necessary.
You can help save Elk Island Golf Course by reading the article below, sending it to your friends/family, and filling out the survey linked to the Parks Canada website. There is a specific question about the golf course!

Is there a camaraderie between ‘northern’ Ontario cities. The soo, Subdury, Thunderbay etc. Something you respect and bond over through dealing with the same issues i.e. Colder climate, further drives to other amenities not in your city, hating Barrie and everything south of it?
Or is it like a rivalry, big brother little brother type of thing?
