Roll Call: The Duck Club | Canadians, Beer and Cow Pastures

Got out to Copetown last night with @MorikawaForPres. First time out must say I love the course, but fuck 17.

Hopefully Deer Ridge was good for you this morning bud; still cannot believe how much golf you’ve played in the last week. Hopefully I’ll be able to get down stateside and check out some of your courses in Michigan.

Fuck 17? 17 is easily the best hole at Copetown :joy:

until my ball hit the green and than bounced into oblivion.

Haha yeah, I’m with Alex here - it’s legit one of my 2 or 3 favourites.

18 can suck it, mind.

18 stiiiiiinks (so does 9 at Mad).

Playing Mad on Monday . What am in for ?

A tight course with tiny greens. It’s very well maintained and if you’re keeping it between the mayo and the mustard you’ll have a good time.

You’re all good in my book SVG, but you’re on the wrong side of history with that take.

The Mad take.

There are bad holes at Copetown and 17 is whatever.

That sounds daunting.

9 is sick. Find a new slant!

18 at Copetown is better than 9 at Mad, but they’re both very meh golf holes.

Very firm greens, have to land it in the right spots, but other than that. Very playable

Let’s be real, very few things about Copetown are better than Mad*

*this has nothing to do with my personal scoring, for sure

18 feels like… “Oh we have some leftover space here, can my grandson design a hole?”

Firm greens I am fine with. Same with small greens. More worried about having to hit bullets up the middle off the tee.

I love this, going to be thinking of other holes that fit this description

There’s ample space off the tee. Choosing a side into some of the uphill greens is important

Play the right tees and you should be fine. I don’t remember any holes playing particularly long

One of the most gorgeous walks in Ontario, with some seriously fine golf. Visually stunning, fun as hell, delightfully tricky greens.

It can be a bit visually daunting, but there is plenty of room off (most) tees. The club is a blast, it’s a wonderful place to spend a day. It’s a happy place!
