Our boy @bcorbs had no idea what he was walking into here…
It’s no Sawgrass right?
You do you, have fun!
Hopefully that also means you are coming to the Tussle too. All about the golf. Some beer along the way if you want.
Glen Abbey is fun. Not worth what they charge, but it’s still fun to do once. Kinda like going to the strippers in Vegas.
Wait, what.
Not even close!
This is amazing and I would love to play in it one day. Do you pay for league entry and then green fees too? @bcorbs
I woud love to hit up the Bash at the Beach but I doubt my elbow is is fully healed by then to really play golf. I have a bachelor party around that time too. I’m probably the DDD on the course
Ahaha.
Didn’t think I was gonna open that can of worms lol.
I’ve never had the chance to play the Abbey before, but I remember being parked in front of the TV with my grandfather when Tiger won the 2000 Open. We always said we were going to go play it; he can’t now so it’s something I’ve wanted to do for awhile for both of us.
Hello All, I’ve worked in the past (now in finance) in golf industry all over Canada (Quebec, GTA, AB, BC) have golfed quite a lot of different courses along the way, currently living in Winnipeg (don’t ask, I don’t even know why I am here either). Looking forward to connect with fellow Canadians! I am a very avid sports fan and have favourites in every sport basically, big craft beer and whiskey guy (mainly scotch and bourbon but wanting to try a few Canadian ryes). I’d say I am a purist when it comes to golf, certainly love the traditional part of the game the history. Looking forward to connecting with anyone to discuss various interests or golf! outside of those mentions i like to read (mainly non fiction) , workout, big into cooking & trying to learn to code this year. All the best.
Sarah, double check UK entrance requirements before the trip and yeah, a $40 rapid test at Shoppers or Rexall a day before is all you need for the US.
Booked my test
Now just focusing on making sure it’s negative
The key to a negative test is to make sure you test negative.
This is the approach the NFL took by the end of the year and it was a rousing success!
$19.95 at Wal-Mart or Costco
Yeah, I don’t wanna be a Debbie downer, but Angus Glen, mainly the north course, is not worth the price. I paid north of $150 to play it late 2020 and it was possibly the worst conditioned course i’ve ever seen and I enjoy yucking it up on some of the cheapest tracks out there. South isn’t as bad, but still nothing special. If its a corporate (or similar) outing, FINE, but id be happy to never see that place again.
Are you doing the exact nlu route from tourist sauce? that would be epic!
I’m going in July with some friends and we have a pretty sweet itinerary: Kilspindie, Glen, Dunbar, Dunaverty, Machrihanish, Mach dunes, West Kilbride. Also after failing to win Open tickets in the lottery, we secured Friday tickets last week in the resale! safe to say the lads are fired up
Can I come too?
If we have any covid issues, I’ll have to get you on speed dial for a last minute fill in
I’ll just hang out at the airport as the 1st alternate haha.
@duncmitchell speaks highly of the Winnipeg craft beer scene. He travels there for work and because he secretly loves it. He’s a huge Blue Bombers guy!
