Awesome! Given current requirements for the application it may be easier to work together to get at least one Roost in Canada. The sign up sheet above looks like this as of posting:
ON - 14.5 Nest Members and 6 not members (plus 1 who didn’t tick either Y/N box)
AB - 5 Nest and 1 not
BC - 3.5 Nest
QC - 1 Nest
That’s 24 (so far) Nest and don’t think it will be hard getting non-Nest members to events. Given geography events could be run within the regions, but maybe that is not what the whole Roost concept was meant to be - I don’t know. Might be easiest to dicuss in here so everyone is on the same page.
There are a few in ON happy to help out trying to get and run a Roost with @BigtimePolecat wearing the C.

I think a big part of this is going to be how NLU decides to Geo-fence this and how the western Canada folks feel about either being in a Canada wide Roost or being looped in with the PNW for proximity/travel purposes. Covid and the border could also play a role here as well.
If we are Canada wide, way may have a “vice/co” captain from each region and have mostly local events and then hopefully have a Roost event to decide who would rep us in the Team Championship, and if that doesn’t work out. Pinz may also be able to be used for this.

Not crossing borders these days does keep things simple. I don’t mind a flight to get a few days of golf junkie time in for a good cause.
For me in Edmonton and us in alberta, bc’s obviously super easy to get to, and I have family reasons to head back to my hometown in Vancouver.
I mostly jumped in these forums to be around golf with hopes of getting some local golf pals to play with too. So far so good as I’ve been out a few times with the only other guy in town on here (hiya @cav007) it would be fun to get out with a few more of the alberta group next year. If those are roost type rounds all the better.

We can get creative with events running in different parts of the country, heck even some digital quota events with live scoring if everyone is playing with a handicap at a rated course.
