Glad I nominated you for the job!
I come highly recommended to for Excel related tasks.
For anyone who likes to get the competitive juices flowing, one of the best “invitational” (anyone can sign up and there are many flights) tournaments around is the Kawartha Invitational. It is an awesome three day event held on August long weekend and provides a great opportunity to play an Ontario gem that will be in terrific condition. (The Kawartha Invitational - Kawartha Golf and Country Club - Peterborough, ON)
Can confirm Kawartha is a gem. Three days might be a stretch this year but this sounds like a good time.
We need to get some Canada events on the schedule!
The first course to open should get rewarded with a refuge meet up!
100% in for this.
If you want to play in this, you better have a good golf resume. I’m playing the GTA Am tour event there this summer. It’s back to back days with their Wildfire event and I’m sooooo excited for that week.
Are you at wildfire this year? @noslenod and I will be there.
I’m playing GTA Am Tour stops at:
- Coppinwood
- Kawartha
- Wildfire
- Cedar Brae
- Mad River
Along with attempts to qualify for the GAO match play, Mid-Am, and Am.
Nice. Assuming champ flight?
I’ll be at Ladies, Mad River, Cedar Brae and Wildfire.
Yup. Sweet! Make sure you introduce yourself if you see me. I look exactly like my avatar minus the “Arsenio Hall”
Flights for everyone at the invite. But be prepared for a tough (but fair) golf course! One of the most fun weekends of every summer. Usually consists of: practice round on Friday + long drive, round 1 Saturday, round 2 sunday + closest to the pin + banquet style dinner with a plus one for everyone, final round Monday with a nice buzz around the course for the final groups and a great scene around 18 for the leaders coming in.
Mad River right near where I live. I would love to play it and will trade round at either Devils Pulpit or Devils Paintbrush.
I’ll get you on Mad River for sure. Especially if I can play the Paintbrush.
Every time I pop into this thread in Vancouver seeing all the Ontario plans

That’s what you get for having a longer golf season
-7 was the high here today. Seriously considered renting a house out there this winter. At least you can hit balls outside.
Went for a hike on Bruce Trail. Needed three layers. I cant do this when I am old.
Played a very pleasant 18 yesterday on my home course…few showers, but quite pleasant and played in under 4 hours. I can see why those in Ontario are already making their Spring plans while they can’t get on the course. I’ll take playing now, planning later! That being said, hopefully we can get some West Coast NLU rounds planned.
