Just took the 12th spot! Looking forward to it!

I just went on there, and that’s also the resort guest rate. So if you’re staying there (I’m not), you don’t have to be a FL resident to pay that number for the golf.

I’m trying to decide if using their pull cart is worth it, I have a Bag Boy, but last time I used it out there I felt like it wasn’t crazy well suited. I can also carry.

@2down So is @NoLayovers with us in our group, or is somebody swapping out?

Magic! Looking forward to meeting him.

Is streamsong worth a day trip from St Pete? I’m staying with my parents down here for the holidays and would like to get some good golf in. I haven’t found anything great around here, maybe a bit better towards Bradenton/Sarasota. On one hand I know the golf will be awesome but on the other it might feel weird to play but not do kinda the whole trip… any thoughts?

Yes*. Make the drive and play one of the courses.

*It’ll be pricey but Streamsong is cool golf.

I’m going tomorrow for the first time and sight unseen I’d say yes. Rumors are it’s some of the best golf in FL, public or private. It’ll be a pretty dime but the weather right now is unbeatable.

Yeh. Make the run. Play Red or Blue. Black is awesome but needs multiple plays to make sense.

Agree with this take. If you only play one - Black is not the one to play. It has really huge greens and is just… different. You won’t be disappointed with either Red or Blue.

(Disclaimer - Black is my favorite course out there… but there are no wrong answers to the question - what’s your favorite.)

Based upon feedback, I’m cancelling all Forecaddies. See everyone in the AM tomorrow.

Well, not looking great for me to get to Tampa tonight. Had to de-ice and then wait for a half dozen planes to take off. Probably not going to make my connection in Houston.

Hoping for a miracle!

Good luck and keep us posted. May the favor of St. Rappeo and baby Jesus be upon you.

Playing World Woods on Thursday with @lazyjk. One spot open at 10:30 on Pine Barrens if anyone wants to join.

That was such a GREAT time. Streamsong Blue might be my favorite one of them.

My feet have already recovered. I think it’s 9W for me in golf shoes this time.

Hey all - I’m looking to do a Tampa golf trip with a few buddies at the end of February. Likely going to do 36 holes Friday and Saturday and then 18 Sunday morning. Did some digging on courses already but I’m interested in some input / suggestions from the locals. Here’s what we’re considering as of now:

Friday: Both courses at World Woods
Saturday: Southern Hills and TPC Tampa
Sunday: Lakewood National (Commander)

Other solid looking courses I saw were Fox Hollow, Lake Jovita, Saddlebrook (Palmer), and Westchase. Would really appreciate any thoughts or other recommendations. Cheers.

TPC Tampa is just OK as of a few months ago. Don’t overpay for the name or expect tour level golf.

Fox Hollow is the slowest round I’ve played down here recently. Not sure if I got a bad day but it was 5 1/2 hours on a weekday in October.

I’m a fan of Jovita, south is my preferred of the two, North isn’t bad though.

Appreciate it. I was lukewarm on TPC but my buddies are all pretty set on it, probably just because of the name. Maybe I can talk them into something else.

I was the same way when I first moved to Tampa area. It’s not a bad place to play, but not worth double the $$ of other places you listed as it sometimes runs

Yea that’s pretty much what I figured. I’ve never played a TPC but I consistently hear about a lot of them being overpriced and having pace of play issues.
