Shouldn’t be a problem to not take myself too seriously!

Golf is my relaxation outlet. Sure a bad shot doesn’t make me happy but all and all I’m out there to enjoy myself

Searching for “artist” or “logo” on a golf message board is unhelpful, so I figured I would come here. I am increasingly jealous of you people with alma maters that have a logo of your golfing mascot (UGA, Ok St, Texas, etc, etc.). Anyone on the refuge a good enough artist to rough out a golfing Cavman so @CFelts87 and I can get a dancing-golfing-cavman headcover? Desperate here.

Wow, I have no idea why I put that in this thread, but hopefully we can just make a thread where a benevolent refugee just draws mascots playing golf for all of us to use?

besides obvious copyright issues what could go wrong?

Listen, if I have learned ANYTHING from the TBC thread, it’s that logos put on golfing merch are not subject to copyright laws.

And yeah if somethings going down this spring im in!

Hey also another good deal for November - February is the Dunes West pass on Groupon. You get 5 rounds for $75. A couple of my friends have bought it. I’m going to try to use it this Sunday if anyone has it and is interested.

Just a follow-up no one asked for, but hadn’t seen many people talk about: Paris Mountain Country Club.
Played it Thursday as I made my way down to Chuck. 4:30. ran out of my car and got a tee time right away (I think $30ish) and was the most fun I’ve had on a course in a while. You don’t see that sort of combo of elevation range on the same hole anywhere here in the Midwest. Greens were rolling really well, and a good mix of easy to hit pins, and if-you-miss-youre-fucked pins. For sure recommend if you’re up around that area.

Stono Ferry was super pure. My tip (I’ve been told from a member I played with) is don’t play before 9. Course gets super wet and greens run exceptionally slower. Back 9 has a lot more character than front and will result in a better time.

@mulloo: Man, this makes me so happy to hear! I am from Travelers Rest and grew up playing Paris Mountain CC (used to be Summersett Golf Club). About 5-6 years ago, one of my good buddies (who also grew up at PMCC) bought the course and they have turned the vibe around there 180 degrees.

I always thought Strapped: Greenville would be awesome. @Randy, @MerchCzar, and @djpie could play PMCC, learn the story of its change then go hang in downtown Travelers Rest … another great story of revitalization. Me and Shane B would be happy to host!

Thanks again for sharing, @mulloo. I’m going to pass your review to my buddy. I’m cheering so hard to hear more stories like yours about PMCC!

Got out and played Timberlake CC in Chapin for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Broke 100 for a 2nd time ever with a 97 so I’m stoked. Was a 40 minute drive from campus but I would definitely come back.

Played it a few times about 1.5yr ago. I really enjoyed it as well. Love that finishing hole. Some really fun holes. Great shooting!

Man I was in such a dilemma trying to decide whether to lay up or go for green on the finisher. I play with some good players who all are low double digit high single digit who of course went for it but I went against the ethos of this board and indeed laid up.

It’s crazy how narrow the front is and then the back is very open. That was probably the biggest surprise for me layout wise.
