Today? No.

In the future? Absolutely yes.

Anyone in Aiken able to help @Juicy out? Will be in Aiken tomorrow and Thur. Do they have rental sets? I’ve never asked

Played Aiken. Walked. What a delight. Surprised by the halfway house!

They do have rentals which have seen better days. Had a cracked driver, two 8 irons and not single matching iron. Oddly enough, shot my career low round with them. Huh…

Played with two cool older gentlemen (one pictured) who were fired up to “drink some IPAs.”

hello folks, heading down to Anderson for the weekend in late August for my friend group’s annual fantasy draft/lake weekend and I’m looking for course recommendations. We played the Walker course before and while I enjoyed it the rest of my group didn’t as much. took some time to look this morning and this is the list I came up with, if anyone could some local info that would be much appreciated! the list so far, in no particular order:
Brookstone
Cobb’s Glen
Walker Course (says all practice facilities are closed until October though??)
Saluda Valley
Boscobel
Pine Lake
Lakeview

Any others I should look at?

Boscobel is a great course. Bent greens that were in awesome shape when I went a few weeks ago.

You could be done at Brookstone at 845am. Would you be happy you played there? No. But you would be done with the entire day ahead of you.

I’m contractually obliged to vouch for my Saluda Valley, shorter course with a fun layout. Can’t go wrong with Boscobel

As the lone Andersonian steer so far away from Pine Lake unless you want a 6+ hour round. Blue collar course in a blue collar town

How far to Cateechee or Currahee from where you guys are?

32 Minutes to Cateechee and 50 from Currahee (shoutout Easy Company), how do those compare to Boscobel? I think Currahee would be a tough sell but Cateechee is within our radius

Much better, more scenic, but more expensive

Boscobel definitely the leader in the clubhouse right now

Hi everyone, reading online about the process for booking a tee time for Charleston Municipal. Any tips for a non-local to give me a chance to get a time? Will be visiting and can play a week day and don’t mind if it’s not early morning or evening - I am used to the Southern heat and humidity and just want to play it. Pretty likely I get a spot if I wake up early to book?

If you’re by yourself you should have no issue. Could probably just show up morning or afternoon whenever you want to play so long as they don’t have a tournament going on. When do you plan to be there? We’ve got quite a few locals out there pretty regularly.

Good to know. First week of September!

I played turtle point Saturday and I don’t know if I ever want to play golf again

Yea, this. Make an account and sign in ahead of time and check their calendar to make sure they aren’t running some kind of tourney, and you should be fine.

Don’t overlook Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course at Richard B Russel state park. Its a little further out but has an awesome stretch of holes on the back 9 along the water.

So a buddy just moved from Massachusetts to Bluffton. Just wondering if there is a Roost in the area. Plan on visiting a few times a year and he might want to get involved.
