Hey folks, I’m visiting Charleston from NYC this week and a family friend connected me to organize a round with a recent Alabama golfer who is getting ready for Q-school this fall. We were planning to try to get out on Friday afternoon at the Muni if we can scoop up a time someone drops, but thought I’d take a shot in the dark and see if anyone has any connects and/or would want to host/play with us at CC of Charleston.

Thanks for the rec. Charleston Muni was an absolute delight.
Randomly got paired @smith as well, who spotted my NLU putter cover on the first tee box, along with a guy who was an absolute stick and used to caddie for David Frost (10 time tour winner).
Awesome day. 11-14 is pure joy on a golf course.

It’s that time of year again, friends. I’m headed down to Chuck in a couple weeks and looking to play the afternoon of Thursday, 10/17 and the morning of Friday, 10/18. We already have 3 - myself, @fourLOKO and one other work friend. My cousin just moved to Charleston but I’m not sure yet if he can play hooky and join us.
OB with @LukeBoatright was a damn delight last year (seriously, I think about that round at least once a week), but the logistics are tough so we’re trying to stay around Charleston this time around. Just putting the word out because it would be a treat to play with any of y’all, even if that means splitting up our merry bunch a bit.
Nothing booked yet - I’ve exhausted my very short list of connections to the likes of Yeaman’s, CC of C, Kiawah for not $650 or whatever it is these days - and open to anything. We’ve played Muni, Stono, and Patriot’s Point before and would go back to any of those, especially the former two.
Hard to add to the info and experience you’re already working with. Other ideas are a mix of downgrades in either finance, travel distance, or quality. DM for details if you’re interested.
I like the idea of another look at the Muni/Stono as a default.

Checking back in with y’all for Friday, 10/18 - unfortunately @smith’s schedule won’t allow him to join us that day, so we currently have one spot open at Stono Ferry at 10:12 AM.
Side note - they have “over seed” on the calendar for that Monday/Tuesday which I assume means the course will be freshly punched and sanded. I loved Stono the only other time I played it, but even so I’m not overly keen to pay $138 for plinko. Going to keep an eye on the Muni tee sheet and pivot that way if I can get something around the same time frame (9-10ish).
