Is it soft enough to hold the 7 green with anything more than a lob wedge?

I played the Muni last weekend and will second @wblove - the course is in great shape. It’s a great time to play there. The greens have softened up a tiny bit and the tee boxes are no longer concrete like they were for a majority of last year.
The 10th green is looking rough though, especially on the upper shelf. That’s the only part of the course I can think of that’s gotten away from them.

Hey Neighbors!
I’ll be Upstate, staying somewhere close to DT Greenville the weekend of the 23rd and looking to play that morning of the 23rd. If someone has a game I can join give me a shout. Otherwise, going to figure out how to get on Furman again. That place was a blast the last time I played it some 5 years ago.

got to be a shade issue. I dont think the green gets much sun. I am told thats important for grass.

All New and or lurkers amongst us.
We just wrapped up the inaugural Cannons Crew Roost season and I would like to think it was pretty successful. Learned a lot that we hope to improve upon for the 2022-2023 reach around season.
If you have interest in joining us please reach out. I hope to have a committee meeting set up in the next month and plans/schedule released by middle of August.

Roosts have their own section of the refuge. Add your name to the list and I will make sure you have accsess to it.
I am also communicating via email as well.
Reports from playing partners this weekend indicate @J.D.O could be a special weapon to the Cannon Crew and another key member from the Upstate. Not to mention he had the energy to see if anyone wanted to play another 18 after Sunday morning
@CTFigueroa is the most consistent off the tee I’ve ever seen and should be avoided at all cost if you have any money riding on a match. You will lose. He will then have your money.
And shout out to our very own @bpaul1166 for winning the whole damn thing.

Thank you for the kind words, @EZmiss, but I also did 2 things that you also said you had never seen before:
- Hitting a driver popup sideways in the air and into the water next to the tee.
- Double hitting a pitching wedge from the tee on #9.
It was a memorable round for sure.

Can confirm tree removal is already underway around 10 green. If only they had this kind of urgency on I-26 projects…
