Last minute, but anyone interested in two tickets to the Feherty live show in Columbia this Tuesday at 7:30p?

Work is taking me out of town, so I’ll have to miss it.

I paid $65 a piece, if I could get $50 a piece I’d be thrilled.

DM me and we’ll see how/if I can get them to you in time.

Moving down to the Charleston area here in a couple of weeks and looking to start to #GetInvolved in the golf scene down there.

House is in Summerville, so going to be looking for a course or club to join up that way - any tips/tricks/recommendations there are appreciated. Seems like it’ll be between Pine Forest and Legend Oaks unless someone steers me in a different direction.

If anyone’s ever looking for someone to play with, let me know. Usually try and play Thursday after work and Sunday mornings.

Summerville resident here. The golf scene here in town is pretty underwhelming. I think legend oaks is the best. I used to play pine forest and we have a pool membership there but it’s hard as hell for me with tight tight tight fairways and water/trouble pretty much everywhere.

I joined Orangeburg as an out of town member and love it. Great condition, good practice areas and pretty much empty in the afternoons.

@TheRealMiguelJimenez and @ThreeJackCity y’all should get up with @LukeBoatright about getting involved with the Palmetto Cannon Crew

To @ThreeJackCity 's point, I’m a bit underwhelmed by Summerville golf. SCC, PF, & LO are all past their prime. SCC is annoyingly narrow, like they haven’t trimmed a branch in 50+ years. I haven’t played Berkley CC out in Moncks Corner.

Edit: if we collectively ever want to do a get together or just a casual round at Wild Dunes, I’d be happy to set it up.

What part of town are you in?

Coosaw went private last year. I’d be interested to see what kind of shape they have the course in. I read a master plan of improvements about two years ago that had a lot of tree removal. Seems to be a big issue with all the courses in the area. No one wants to invest in improvements.

Hey y’all. I tried to Ctrl - F this very general question so I’m sorry if I’m rehashing something.

My wife and I are coming down to Charleston to play some golf and eat some food at the end of April (27- May 2). We have a round booked at Charleston Municipal. Can anybody recommend the best walks in the area that aren’t Kiawah?

Also…if anybody wants to get out with us we always enjoy the company of other refugees.

How did you do that? Tee times dont get released until a week out. Are you a wizard?

As for other courses, it depends on how well connected you are.
Well connected: Charleston CC, Yeaman’s, Cassique, Daniel Island.
Strapped Boi: Stono Ferry, Charleston National, Wild Dunes.

Besides the Muni & Kiawah, I’d say the better courses are over in Mt. Pleasant. Wild Dunes (Links & Harbor courses) are probably the best non-Kiawah courses. There is also Patriot’s Point on the water that has some nice views on the closing holes but other than that the course really isn’t anything to write home about. I typically play at Charleston National, which I feel like is the best public option in Mt. Pleasant.

On the page it says “are you planning a trip? E-mail us”

So I did, and now I’m in. I already got turned away from Yeamans and Charleston (It’s their member-guest). So I guess the verdict is that I am not well connected.

Wizard, confirmed.

@CTFigueroa laid out a few good options. Depends on which side of the peninsula you’re staying on as well. Best public on the south side will be Stono Ferry.

Sounds good on getting together for a round, i’ll reach out once we’re down and settled

Last minute shot…

Anyone selling a Saturday ticket for the Heritage?

Has anybody played Aiken recently and can report on conditions? I have a full day to kill in Columbia on Tuesday and considering making the trek down. Wanted to do Camden but they have some tournament in the morning.

Think @LukeBoatright was there yesterday but since we’re only 2 weeks removed from their big Masters week I’m sure it’s in great condition.

I’ve also never seen it in bad condition

Stono Ferry is great and its on this side of town (Muni/Kiawah side versus Mt. P) and if you go over into Mt. P then do Dunes West. The Harbor Course at Wild Dunes is cool and you can get good rates later in the day but if you dont get a good rate then I wouldnt recommend it.

It was in great shape*

*it’s never knock your socks off conditions. Always consistent, though.

Quick question for the Greenville contingent. Where would be the best neighborhood to find an AirBNB? We’re in town next week for a wedding. Hopefully, there’s some golf in there somewhere, too but mostly concerned about finding a spot the wife enjoys
