Roll Call / Roost Sign-up --- Philly / DE --- The Electric Phactory

Awesome! I work in Wilmington and live in Malvern. My wife and I belong to Longwood so we’re down in Kennett fairly regularly.

Technically I still live in West Chester, but we close on the house in February.

Also, should I join the nest? Is it worth it?

No kidding! I’m about a five minute drive from Longwood, but surprisingly, the wife and I aren’t members yet. Probably something to rectify in 2022. Also work in Wilmington too, I’m at Wilmington Country Club off of Route 52.

For what it’s worth, I really enjoy it on here. Based on how deep down the rabbit hole you go on the message board, your mileage may vary, but it’s a good community. Lots of different topics and categories to get lost in, but it’s really a situation where you get out what you put into it.

And honestly, from a numbers standpoint, it’s a good deal. Breaks down to about $8/month, then you get the 15% discount from the shop on top of it. They just added one of our local NLU Refuge legends (S/O @ChickPhilA, who already has an extensive clothing/merchandising background) on to their team for a role in that arena, so I’m guessing the shop’s offerings are only going to keep getting better.

I’m at AstraZeneca. Our US head belongs to Wilmington. Ive only been there for a funeral luncheon where I sat and daydreamed about playing as I stared out the window.

Back in 2019 I was pretty vocal on here before The Nest in the Chicagoland community. Love golf, love golf architecture. Grew up on some golden age gems in the Chicago area. I figured I should just bite the bullet.

I didn’t know that! Congrats @ChickPhilA ! That’s really cool.

I’ll edit to add I’ve enjoyed dishing out for the Nest. I get a lot of mileage out of the message board here. Ultimately I’m happy that my $90 goes towards producing some of my favorite content in any media sector, especially the one that aligns with my hobby/addiction.

Fantastic point. Not sure how the costs break down for all of the content they produce, and I don’t really care to know, but if my $90/year keeps that train rolling with some momentum, I’m here for it.

Awesome to here the @ChickPhilA news…not that we have an influencer on the inside time to dial in that logo to prep for Electric merch!

@MikeRevak and I have stayed in regular contact (even had the Roost’s first official “unofficial” meet up when we snuck in 18 the day after Xmas).

He’ll be meeting with the crew and other captains soon so stay tuned for updates. I anticipate the early focus will be scheduling and sign ups (Refugees and courses).

Bleak 10 day forecast up here now but time will fly so tuned.

Here are final versions of the logo that my student made. I have them in black also:

If the crew decides to use them, awesome. If not, no big deal. I’m good with whatever you all want to do.

Hmmm, I can see the images on my phone but not on my work laptop. If you all can’t see them, let me know.

I haven’t done message board stuff since like alt.music.hardcore in 1995…

On a laptop and can see both. Look awesome. Personal preference is just Mr. Franklin, but both look great IMO.

Cool, thanks!

Can you hit us with the black? Getting a Chargers feel here

I like black over blue and yellow. Also, I caved and joined the Nest.

First of all, thanks again for the work. It’s frankly hard to decide on the logo, they all look great. If possible, we should have a secondary club logo. My gut it telling me to go with the Black and White…more of a statement piece.

Good stuff! I have to update that for a spreadsheet on my end as well.

All four look great! I’ve got one that I’ve contracted out that I’m still waiting to get back. Shouldn’t be much longer, but we’ll eventually throw everything together and see what wins out. I can imagine that we still have quite a bit of time flexibility regarding a final logo design.

Cool, thanks for doing that. And of course while we should have a main logo, there’s no reason why we can’t have multiple options for merch. The more cool stuff, the better.

Exactly. I love keeping our options open. I’d rather have a few variations to choose from than one or two that we may feel locked into.

There was even a sick logo from the local NIT qualifier last year that never saw the light of day. I’ve got my eye on that as well for a limited run for just that event…
