We have embarked on a new voyage creating our own refuge on discord (mostly kidding but the tee-times thread is there and I’m sure folks are game to play) Incline Club

Post again like a week out from when you’ll be here. Can’t promise I’ll be free but I’ll have a better idea of availability

They’ve struggled with water this year so the fairways and rough have been extra crispy. The greens have been mega firm too the few times I’ve been down there. Overall I like it and would say it’s a good, not great course.

I assume everyone here is in the Discord, but in case you aren’t… if you want to join me at Pittsburgh Field Club on Tuesday, 10/21 at 11:50am, please let me know!

heading out to Pittsburgh next Tuesday where I have a free afternoon. looking at Madison club or champion lakes as decent options. locals what do you recommend? prefer to walk - one easier to walk than the other?

I’ve never played Champion Lakes but I can say Madison would be a pretty big walk.

I’m not sure where you’re staying but if you’re looking for a decent walk I would reccomend either the North or South Park course, Lindenwood isn’t a real thrilling golf course but very walkable, then if you want to head north to places like Lake Arthur or Slippery Rock they are also pretty low stress walks.

Good stuff. I’ll check them out. Thanks.

Champion Lakes is solid but it’s an hour from Pittsburgh and definitely not walkable. If you’re willing to drive that far I’d play Totteridge which is sort of in champion lakes direction but a better course (though also not walkable). Like @Hooper2993 said, North and South Park are probably the most walkable
